since Takaichi became the PM of Japan, things have only got worse. Economic data has been bad overall, yen has depreciated so horribly, created problems with China. What else Takaichi? I really do not understand the ppl of Japan & LDP members who voted for her. LDP members knew of her policies & yet voted for her.

They were desperate for approval and played the card of first female pm because else the ldp would ve lost the next election,the problem is all the other opposition parties will just be worse as they ll all bet on extreme spending to make their first election look good to the dumb public who keep losing currency value and inflation for a better pay which at the end of the day feels like you can't afford much.

Honestly if you were a politician would you take the spotlight right now? There's nothing a japanese government can do to fix the system they devised since the 50s. Being prudent and timid would be best for everyone in the world too since they own so much stuff abroad, but you can't tell that to your voters. The silver lining is that the citizens of japan can throw all the tantrums they want but the system will not break.
