Couple years back, a Danish intelligence analyst found out that NSA spied on all European leaders, including Merkel and the Danish prime minister - not through mass capture of meta data, but targeted. It was apparently done through the under sea cable network.

He went to his bosses but was ignored, even after a power struggle within the intelligence. Due to his patriotism and the lack of options, he decided to become a whistle blower, he found a Danish news-paper and went public anonymously.

This became huge news! I think there was also staged protests in Denmark outside the US embassy.

The cowardly Danish government, perhaps under this same lady today, instead of appreciating the seriousness of the matter, they actually jailed the whistleblower. The details are blurry in my head, but I recall he got a lengthy jail sentence, 10 years +

He was charged under treason and espionage. they even put him in solitary confinement!

They did not even condemn the espionage as far as I recall and they jailed this poor patriot because he embarrassed them.

US can take Greenland without force.

Security against who? Canada? or Russia?

Russia are collaborating with Indians and Chinese to extract their own immense natural resource wealth, which is more than they can chew.

Its about balancing the books so the USD dont become insolvent and the money printing can continue for a couple more years, if not for this reason, they could collaborate with Denmark and extract the wealth as partners instead of stealing from their vassals.

If there were not money problems, they would have shut down those bases.
