I mean pay eval fee 50. Lose eval.

Pay fees again 50, lose eval again

There are many like this. Then funded account. Lose funded account.

Re - Start eval by paying fees.

This is countless expecially for newcomers.

Traders get addicted to prop firms as the fees are cheap.

Only few firms pay properly. Like tradeify, MFFU.

Trading a real money account, even with 100 dollar capital helps to learn.

Yes and it's not a surprise.
A lot of traders lose $50 or more/less on a single SL in real trading, so it makes sense to use that $50 to get a challenge account and trade a much bigger sum of money and get lucky a few times in a row.
It's kinda like being a smoker and going from smoking cigarettes containing over 7,000 chemicals to vapes containing around 200 chemicals,
It is still the same addiction but with a different look.
It's the 'need to trade' that keeps the act going. Very clever of the first ever prop that figured out a way to offer a better option for the price of just one single SL loss.
That addiction applies to me too, all the same.

Having said that, I am contemplating opening an FTMO account. Probably next week. I could even run this system on it...but I'm not sure if they are going to like or dislike it. I'm not spending 540 EU and just sit and wait for them to fail me and keep the fee. I'm not doing anything illegal and my own broker wouldn't have any issues but what if I'm flipping off some rule like I got in n out of a trade in under 3 seconds and x number of time I have done that bla bla.
I'm even thinking of just buying a 10K challenge just to find if my trading is to their liking. All the way to passing and beyond. Then if it's all good, I'd have to start another challenge with a 100K account.
There is just no other way to be sure 100% if a safe passage exists within their rules.
Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

Do this in FTMO demo first.

As for payouts, I dunno much. Long ago ( may be 2 year ago) i traded with them.

I would give more weightage on personal acc than doing a firm account.

Private account growth will be very good.

1000 capital.

Just focus 50 dollar every day. 20 days, capital becomes 2k.

Then with 2k, focus on 100 per day for month 2

Then focus on 200 per day with 4k capital.

Goes on.. and on. this will not suit any trader with prop firm mindset.

The main difference as i look is in a provate account, you do good for 7 days... or less, let us say you make 1k .

You can withdraw all 1k on 8 th day.

With prop firms, it is all delusional, all paper money, nothing is yours untill it is paid by firm. You are at the mercy of firm.

And of course, there is problem for USA traders. Not for us as canadians. W ehave options to choose.

Demo doesn't affirm anything.
I'm just making up this obscure rule (It's actually not obscure because some props have it) that if your trades are opening and closing within seconds, then we disqualify you.
Using a demo will not disqualify your demo if in your demo, you opened and closed trades within 3 seconds.
I talked to their rep already. I asked them if my system in their demo runs it's course successfully, does that indicate that it would run the same in a paid challenge account? As far as not breaking any of their rules I meant. He said the performance in the demo doesn't mean anything. The demo is just a demo running unsupervised and un-tracked. It's not meant to access and enforce their rules. He said the only way was to open the account and run it and see if it passes through.

Ya I know. There are traders that navigate that system very well. Can't deny that. I'm aiming to be one of them. And why not? You still can trade your private account and in the process you get even a 75% dd, you may still survive and even double the account. With a 100K account that 75% dd is now 7.5% or even .75%.... That's just what makes a near death catastrophic even of a near margin call event in a personal account into a breeze in the park.
It's just leverage. It's like a standard account trader suddenly arrives at a cent account environment and has the room to push the limits..not to the as far as they can go but to a safe distance, All that meaning, prop system has it's place and purpose and if one can get aligned, it can go well.

Based on the last couple of screen shots you posted, I can see that you only all sold on 28th and you only all bought on Aug 29 but at different times.
Here is a chart of GU with the 28th and 29th as the last 2 days.
Appears that you were trading against the predominant trend.
It depends of course on time entry which I didn't take into consideration.
Maybe you a contrarian, a pullback trader or maybe you are following the trends from the lower tf's.
Are you using Oanda and have all buy/all ell days cause you can't hedge or you do using different accounts or?

If one identifies a trend direction well and follow it calmly, it can be very rewarding.
I'm personally not that disciplined.

yea. I was selling on thursday, but buyon friday. ( using support zone )
