Disliked{quote} Is that a true Martingale? Can't trade using Martingale (it goes by a few different names) w some prop firms. Why is that so?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I define martingale by the most noticeable trait of it of 'adding to a losing trade'. The usual definition is when your trade is a loser, instead of closing it and restarting a new trade, you double down and make a new trade in the same losing direction and continue so until the tides turn. So, yes this account is a true martingale.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I see you have no balls. No surprise there. Why don't you put up your 20 billion dollar account then? We will just go by %. Real account vs. real account. Come on, what is your excuse now?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I understand, thank you. You'd therefore double a losing position size using a Martingale system, with a risk of catastrophic draw downs in a counter-trend set of positions, as I understand it. In a trending market you could only leverage so much, so there is a line that exists somewhere depending on account size. And the market will test that line at some point. I personally will scale in on a high probability setup even when timing is not perfect, but I don't call it a Martingale per se, more like "sloppy entries". Fading out of losing...Ignored

Disliked{quote} My query was central to using the Martingale with any success and was made in good faith and politely, as obviously you do use some form of risk management based on the account screenshot/equity curve that you posted, otherwise you'd have it drawn down significantly (more than you did, that is). Esp. given the context (prop firms) I felt it a relevant question that didn't presuppose that it can't be profitable, but it seems it was taken as a challenge. TLDR: Throwing down the gauntlet didn't address the question of risk management, but it...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Well, I don't really feel that I am responsible to educate people how martingale works in order for it to work. Surely, those who go on rants about it not working have done their fair share of trying to be able to make their assertions already. If I claim that aliens exist and produce one and put in front of you, I don't have to also come up with their particulars of their reason for existence. Do I? The proof is in the pudding as they say. There are tons and tons of martingale based systems around. Some automated and some manual. Have you...Ignored
Disliked{quote} you cant argue with such beginner traders. ... if not because of this ,this could be at least a trading comedy show .Ignored

DislikedAny trader on this forum or others, any blogger/influencer, any author or mathematician, quant, professor of trading or genius or savants of any type is welcome to accept my 1K challenge any time. I am eagerly waiting. PS: I do however hope for someone kinda better known and prominent cause it'd be nice to prove their high status wrong. Any big names in the world of finance that has dissed martingale? Please refer me to them. Thanks. Oh man...if I could only get one of them 'Wizards of the Wall street' type to take me on this...Ignored
Disliked{quote} TLDR: Still cannot or will not answerI'm left wondering, who hurt you? I don't need luck, and will add that I never disparaged your system nor ranted, (having used Martingale and anti-Martingale in the past and being genuinely curious how you managed to navigate a prop firm risk rules environment) and in fact payed you some low-key compliments- in return, I note your condescension and disrespect in our thankfully brief conversation, and in others, vulgarity and aggression, all combined with a hefty dose of approval seeking on...
