Each crypto are built differently; Their protocol mechanism, programming, functionality built, etc...
XRP is the native token of its Layer1 network XRPL.
USDC is a stablecoin. It is not a Layer1 network.
You have to educate yourself on these different mechanism,
in order to understand how they work and differ from one another.

Appreciate the enthusiasm, but my focus is just about the future value of XRP in relation to FX market. Not Ripple the company. Nor a technical question about L1 networks.

RippleNet ≠ XRP. They’re not the same. RippleNet can operate with or without XRP, and USDC could easily adopt RippleNet as payment rails without ever touching XRP. Yes, RN might be a great on/off ramp but that’s separate from XRP’s potential value.

I can't see XRP playing a lead role in FX — unless it fills a niche bridging less liquid fx pairs. And that’s not nothing, but it’s not that much in the scheme of things.

USDC has more than regulatory approval— it has institutional backing at the highest level in the US. And RN won’t have exclusive access to FX rails. Stellar, Ethereum, and others will all be in the mix.

Of course elsewhere - in tokenisation, DeFi, CBDCs, XRP could romp home. I’m not writing it off.

But on this angle, I'm unconvinced.

How are you suppose to assess/hypothesis future value when you haven't got key variables to its success or failure???
You don't understand the differences between their technical mechanism, and to you they look the same, when they are totally different from one another.

Example: If you don't understand the difference between a rally car versus a formula1 car, how do you arrive to future value of the car???
If you race them in an asphalt circuit, the F1 wins. If you race them in an off-road track, the rally car wins.
Before you even race them, you need to understand their technicalities.

So we're back to square one here...
You've made an assumption between Ripplenet and XRP without understanding the difference between them.

Long story short; XRP is more powerful and advance than Ripplenet.
Ripple clients are offered many solutions to accommodate their needs. This is part of their business plan regarding adoption.
But if the clients wants the most fastest, secure, cheaper, better tech... They will have to use XRP (why don't you know this? lack of research perhaps?)

And who doesn't want better?

Yes, XRPL is solid. But institutions don’t pick networks based on tech alone. They care about regulation, control and risk.

This isn’t an attack—it’s a realistic view of the current landscape. If there’s a strong counter, I’m all ears. But I haven’t seen one yet.

In the world of finance, whether it is stocks or crypto, marketcap means nothing; it is merely the product of the current number of tokens multiplied by the current price. For example, a $1 million purchase could raise the price 10 times, while a $1 million sale price could drop 10 times. Thus, it is not the actual value or amount of money contained within that matters, but rather because market participants have set a standard where a stock or crypto with a high marketcap is seen as impressive, everyone becomes mesmerized by it. Evidence: there have been so many-many shitcoins crashes; it does not mean that when the market falls, the money lost equates to that crazy marketcap—which, when thought of rationally, is an insane amount. So, it is merely an illusion. What is most important in cryptocurrency? Look at the daily volume. Marketcap in the world of finance is actually a fallacy. We usually call it market-craps. I keep reiterating that it is not share/stock that is limited to the number supply for simple calculation.
Share and stocks are limited by their supply and demand.
Hence the causation of supply and demand attributes in the rise and fall of its price.


These are cryptograph technologies that are programmable.
For example: A stablecoin was programmed in such a way for it to remain $1.
Thus, the number supply whether it be 45B, 100B or 1T has no effect on price.

XRP is programmed as an on-demand liquidity bridging protocol = It's price will be dependent on its utility/commodity.
It's 100B supply is small part of its calculations in relation to its price.
It's not the heaviest variable of the formula for calculating the price with XRP.

Appreciate the wind-down Blob... all this is, is two different angles. It's because I'm entirely about trading FX, intraday specifically. Changes in FX open opportunities & introduce threats. Remember the Volcker rule? Gave me an edge for 7 years for eg. As it stands, these changes will upend the entire FX market. CLS clearing windows will vanish, liquidity hours will change, stocks,bonds,commods and FX will become far closer meshed together and my guess is fragility will increase. Time's a great healer, about to vanish.

So trading is about making predictions. For anything. Cause and effect. A model that covers 70-80% of the decision-making process with no more than 3 variables. In this one: US Govt aims, T1 bank aims and relationships. Will XRP underpin wholesale banking?

It's not so much who's dad is better at anything, your dad could be sleeping with Melania and Don finds out and you're out. Technology? Wholesale FX is like air-traffic control. Fuck-ups are so bad that plenty of archaic tech reigns supreme so even if Fnaility on Ethereum is sub-optimal, will it sway it? I'd say no. And yes, you know *way* more about tech than me.

Put simply, in my model
- banks want to maintain control - profits - and in-house technology at all costs. If the tech is essential, they'll bid for buy-outs. Wholesale banking is a CLOSED club. They don't want outsiders messing with their business.
- US govt. CBDCs are out. STABLE and GENIUS - I mean what a pisstake of names - clearing the way for an audited US-stablecoin backed settlement. Or tokenised.
- Relationships. Messy. By no coincidence big Don has created World Liberty Financial with plans to launch a stablecoin, USD1. Eric's involving in bitcoin mining. Lutnick is wrapped up in a Tether blanket but they'd have to start again with a new coin cos we all know they'd fail audits.

TLDR? In this model, Fnality takes the lead just, Circle with a clean slate with SEC has a great headstart but not the same level of backing and needs other tech to make it work, USD1 will signal the end of the US dollar. Hyperbolic I know. And Ripple - just can't see it.

And if I'm wrong, I'll U-turn faster than Trump in a Japanese bond sell-off.

This technology is revolutionary and will change the landscape.
A lot of things will change; some things easily foreseeable in the short term and other things unforeseen in the long term.
The old era is out and the new era is on the way in.
There will be lots of collateral damages in every aspect, and asymmetric fortunes to come.

Archaic tech reigning supreme in our history is a different context compared to this new technological revolution we're currently facing.
This new technology addresses/solves the old archaic tech's problems and issues.

I'm not an Anarchist. I acknowledge that the banks/governments are corrupted. But I also see the goodness in them.
Despite their level of corruption and wrong-doings, I'm confident enough to say I'd rather be here in the WEST, than in any communist country.
I know there are corrupted police, but when the shit goes down, I can confidently dial 911 and ask for police.

There's no free-for-all system in our history that survived.
A small tribe can survive without police, governing councils, hierarchy leadership, etc...
But the moment a tribe/community gets bigger than 500 population, you're going to need police and governments.
Even hippies lawlessness, loving, care-free, love and peace, doesn't survive when they surpass that population growth.
These Anarchist Cryptos aren't going to survive.
Only the Cryptos working with government and regulators will survive.

Here's my take:
- Governments and Big banking powerhouse needs a lot of assurance that this technology won't fuck up, as you are dealing with tremendous amount of money.
- Ripple has over 10years of pilot testing their technology with their banking partners; to prove and show that there are no hiccups.
- Fnality blockchain has only 3 years of testing (5 years to be generous) with sub-optimal technology.

- On a side note; Ripple has lots of NDAs with banks and I wouldn't be surprised if they have NDAs with Fnality.
- A little blue bird on the streets chirping, said that Ethereum's ProofofStake mechanism doesn't pass the Howeys's test. And there is a high probability chance that it can be classified as a Security. If so, it will conflict as a settlement mechanism for FX or any form of settlement.



- I put emphasizes on technology as it's half of the work is done. It carries more of the load and makes everything else a lot easier.
Example: If you're good looking, you don't have to make up cheesy pick up lines. You don't have to dress up that nice, etc... You can pretty much get away with a lot of things because you're good looking... Half of your work is done for you. You're met with very little resistance.
Same with technology; If your technology addresses/solves the problem better, faster, cheaper, etc. Half of the work is done.

- I put emphasizes who are the players on the team. The Ripple team is basically Michael Jordan's Dream Team.
I'm not going to settle for Fnality benchwarmers
The argument that Ripple has no connection with XRP (or doesn't need XRP) is misinformation.
Everything that Ripple does is in the benefit of XRP - perhaps more research on this area if you disagree.
Without XRP, Ripple is just another company.

- Partnerships, Networks and Relationships Ripple (tied to XRP) is way ahead against Fnality.

Superior tech has the biggest market share... most of the time, but the exception is in the most risk-averse areas of business. I think we're down to one core difference of opinion here. So Fnality - no that AI overview is massively misleading! - is stuffed to the rafters with ex-bank execs, as opposed to Ripple's many high flying ex-fintech execs.

Does the company with 20 major bank shareholders and all the connections win vs the better tech, assuming that's correct. None of the wholesale banks are neobanks. If they were, it'd be different but unless Ripple take a step back, and mass hire a bunch close in institutional caliber to the NY Fed Reserve Head of Markets who runs Fnality, can't see it. Plus the UK trials seems to have gone well.

Beyond that, we need someone on the ground who knows both. The couple of bank traders I know knew less than this entire thread on the future of payments.

Re the rest, totally agree. Days of wild west crypto are slowly disappearing. Ethereum PoS as a security, screws Fnality hard in the US at least and opens doors immediately.

One final question - XRP without RippleNet. I had to check I didn't dream this but there's tons of places using RN without XRP. Amex, Santander, BoA etc

The article is succinct, but needs a few investigative research to clarify a few things.
The conclusion says everything and I'll clarify here.


Conclusion: Is XRP Adoption by Banks Overhyped?
The idea that “major banks are using XRP” is misleading. While many banks and financial institutions have partnered with Ripple, most of them are only using RippleNet, not XRP.
-The CEO and Ripple team have been transparent on this from day one.
And I quote from the CEO ,"If they want a faster, cheaper, better, more secure solution... They will have to use XRP."

-The CEO and Ripple team have been transparent from day one; That they have Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with their banking partnerships about the products and testing regarding XRP usage. To this day, banking CEO hardly say "XRP". One of the top and biggest crypto (XRP) over the years and it seems they are allergic to even saying it.
Larry Fink CEO of Blackrock, when asked several times, couldn't even say it. If they are NOT using XRP, then they would have no problem saying, "We're not using XRP." No Ripple banking partnership has ever been quoted not using XRP.
I quickly did a google search; in quotes "We're not using XRP."... not even one result or article.


So here Sherlock Holmes, the absence of evidence does not suffice the "absence of no-evidence."
This conclusion is half truth.



Currently, only a handful of institutions are confirmed to be using XRP (ODL), and banks remain hesitant due to regulatory concerns and competition from stablecoins and CBDCs.

-The banks are hesitant due to the lawsuit and regulatory concerns... NOT due to competition of stablecoins and CBDCs.

-Stablecoins and CBDC are totally different XRP. They don't even belong in the same category.
Here's a caveat: The USDollar is falling, half of the world are moving away from the USdollar, BRICKS don't want to use USdollar, PetroDollar is gone >>> And they are creating stablecoin pegged to the USDollar??? Stablecoin was designed for a specific purpose and functionality.

- Jim Rickards, Chief Tech Officer David Schwartz and other prominent people have clearly stated, "Pegging the USD with crypto doesn't solve anything. You've just digitalized it, but doesn't solve any of the banking issues."

There are no competition with Stablecoins and CBDCs as they are totally different things.



That said, if regulatory clarity improves and cost savings become more apparent, XRP adoption could grow. Investors and XRP holders should focus on tracking actual ODL adoption, rather than just RippleNet partnerships, to determine XRP’s long-term potential.
-Tracking actual ODL adoption would be a key leading indicator.
But as an investor, you're suppose to position yourself long before the movement is taking place.

-Do not overlook the Ripplenet partnerships, because there are a lot more going on behind the curtains than what the public or mainstream media presents.



Here's my final message:
People have said many misinformation regarding XRP over the years.
Unbeknownst to these naysayers, XRP has been shackled all these years due to the lawsuit.
People are shitting on something that's been shackled and can't do anything.

When the shackles are removed and the floodgates are opened...
Over 300+ banking partners around the globe awaiting to do business.
Over 18+ pending ETF awaiting approval.
Acquisition of one of the biggest brokerage firm (Hidden Road).
9 HeadQuarters around the globe.
Regulations being built.
US Government support, IMF support, BIS support, WEF support.


When the shackles are removed and the floodgates are opened...
Let's talk then at the end of 2025 to 2030.
