So, you really don't have an irrefutable argument. You merely assume this is all going to work out. Since you can't predict the future, you should know better than to think in absolutes when it comes to making predictions.

And frankly, Ripple is one of the shadiest companies I have ever seen. Ripple and its founders have gotten filthy rich off selling XRP and continue to do so. That should raise an eyebrow.

For context; I have a substantial investment in XRP. I am willing to face all the negative opinions/facts regarding XRP. It's my personal mission not to be biased and my due diligence to leave no stones un-turned. Because if Ripple and XRP fails, I have a substantial amount to lose. It won't hurt my financially, but I have a lot to lose.

So let's tackle these arguments about XRP.

Here is an illustration: A car is hurling towards you 100km/hr and is 10 meter away from you. We can both generalize (in absolute) that the car is going to kill you. As well as generalized (in absolute) that "anything can happen" ie; the car swerve at the last minute and misses you. Or that another car t-bone it away from your direction. We can generalize (in absolute) any blackswan event as an argument. If we run this scenario 100x. The person will die 99 out of 100.
Are you okay with this? That the environment and variables are high risk and you are willing to settle the argument with a coin toss 50/50 - anything can happen?

I'm not here to school you on the fundamental analysis of Ripple and XRP. If you do proper research, you will find that the fundamental analysis and evaluations are very strong; ball parking it around 90% good probabilities of success. So I need to provide you evidence because you're not going to google/research it, and accuse me of not providing evidence (I'll get to it below).

To summarize; Your argument is a weak generalization that "anything can happen". It totally disregard objective risk assessments, risk probabilities and fundamental analysis probabilities.

2). This argument is opinionated and erroneously not factual. I will provide the facts and evidence below.

Before any sophisticated investors invest in anything, they have a list of checklists and filters to weed out bad investments. I will go through some checklist below:

*Background check on CEO, Management Team, Board of directors for Criminal history.
Amidst in a sea of scammers, pump and dumps, ponzis, fraud, etc... People speculating on these crypto ventures, it was clear as night and day who were the scammers, bad apples, and shady companies are. Before FTX, Luna, Celcius, Mt.Gox, 3AC, etc... all collapsed taking millions out of investors, a simple background check would have saved millions of people's money being scammed. A lot of the people with these companies have criminal history from money laundering, embezzlement, fraud, assault violence charges, etc...
A well known Investigative Journalist who has a famous youtube channel: Coffeezilla, has presented these information on his channel for references.
Even with the recent fraud with Argentina and Libra where lots of investors got scammed. You can see that from a mile away if you did some basic background check on the CEO and management team.

I can factually say that Ripple CEO, CFO, CTO, management, board of directors have passed this clean basic criminal check.


*Business registry location
A lot of scammers business registry are far away from regulators; Cayman islands, the Bahamas, Malta, etc.
These are glaring red flags that common investors fails to check before investing into any entity.

Ripples headquarters and business registries are not from these questionable shady locations.


*Under regulation and independent auditing
Unlike scammers, like Tether who doesn't want to follow regulations (kicked out of MICA regulations) and have NEVER been audited.
I mean if you want to invest in an entity that has never been audited???

Ripple from the beginning have been working with the regulators and have been asking for regulatory clarity.
Ripple have been independently been audited with their business finance dealings.


*Escrow and Transparency
A lot of scammers are not transparent. Ethereum (and other cryptos) has not disclosed the amount it has sold for example.

FTX - Sam Bankman Fried has access to business/investors funds. And long story short, he fraudulently used the money to his own accord, leading to a billion dollar collapse. Other Crypto CEO can do the same.

Ripple CEO, CTO, CFO etc... have no access to the XRP to be fraudulently abused. The XRP are locked in Escrow and it is distributed by Escrow into the market to be sold on the calendar month. To stabilize the prize and lower volatility for now. Any XRP that are not sold gets returned back to Escrow. These numbers are transparent and available to the public.

Ripple has been transparent of its business goals and development from day 1.
Ripple founders were already rich, long before they got into XRP.
Ripple (formerly opencoin) was already a thriving business before it transitioned into XRP.
The sell of XRP has been explained by Ripple as part of their business development plan for their mission/vision for XRP as a bridge currency.


These are very few basic checklists that evidently shows that Ripple are good custodial players amongst in the sea of the scammers in crypto. These very basic checklist that a lot of people failed to do, thus leading them to lose their money.

Any person who have done due diligent research would know all these things I have mentioned.
You've basically haven't done much research and basically parroting bitcoin maxis... Your own words betray you.

You are making assumptions again.

You can give a hundred-page response, and it still won't change a thing: Ripple's growth does not guarantee XRP's success. Ripple could fail. Ripple could change its course or vision for XRP. You can't predict the future.

And though it is indeed an opinion, I still see Ripple as being shady (at this time). Just because I see it this way doesn't mean I am saying it is a scam.

You wasted so much time in your response, when all you had to do was simply say, "Time will tell."

I still trust CEX coins like BNB more than XRP, even though I made a good profit with XRP in December after cashing out the ETH I had held for years. I have some trust in XRP's dev team, but only slightly.

It's funny how people thought that once XRP was no longer considered a security it would go to the moon. Well, it was officially ruled not to be a security, but it didn't go to the moon.

Then they said when the case against Ripple is over, it will go to the moon. The SEC dropped the lawsuit, and what do you know, XRP still didn't go to the moon.

Conclusion: XRP is more likely to go back down below a dollar than to the moon.

i personally believe it is the best "long shot" trade available in the crypto market. I sold a lot of "stuff" i simply didn't need anymore and took all the liquidity and purchased unleveraged XRP why? because it appears, by all intensive purposes, to be a system of cross border settlement based on block chain....... XRP actually claims to have a designed purpose, if true, that is capable of replacing/supplementing the swift system....... but what do i know i am a 65 year old skilled laborer that has very little with the exception of a "paid for" house. it is still reasonably inexpensive and seems to have good upside potential. i wasn't able to acquire a lot but, i resolved, even before purchasing, that i am ok if it goes to zero. XRP is like a great looking horse that just took a good shit at "First Call" "Riders Up" good luck to us all.

I see the same hype around XRP since it reached to almost 2 dollars in 2018. It's been three bull markets past since then. XRP is still stuck in the same area. No surprise though.

It's just basic maths, there's over 58 BILLION XRPs circulating in the world. It equates to roughly over 120B dollars.

If XRP reaches to 10 dollars, that would equate to 580 Billion dollars. We are talking about a market cap of half a trillion dollars.

To put in comparison, this would equate to 1/3 of Bitcoin's total market cap.

Mind you, there's only 1.6 Trillion Euros circulating in the world. That's how big half a trillion is. Roughly about 1/3 of it.

So the bottom line is, XRP can never go to the moon. Maybe with the help of inflation, it can gradually sit at 3-4 dollars.

The worse part is, this is a very optimistic calculation. There's still 42 Billion XRPs left to mine. The cap is at 100B XRPs. Which makes things way more than impossible.

XRP has apparently turned out to be a nothing burger. The only thing that seems to keep it going are gullible people who have fallen for lies. In the meantime, Ripple continues to dump on XRP holders month after month and gets richer in the process. XRP is Ripple's cash cow. Nothing more.

Banks obviously don't want it. If they did, it would be much more valuable than it is. What will likely happen is something else will come along and take its place, something government owned.

Why would banks and governments allow a small company like Ripple, which holds almost half of all XRP's supply, become so powerful? Think about it. If XRP became a global currency while Ripple owned so much of it, Ripple would be the most powerful company in the world, powerful enough to rule the world.

I don't see that happening. What is most likely to happen is another bear market (if it isn't already here), and XRP will likely be driven back down below a dollar and remain there for years.

XRP is an Utility Protocol to Tokenize value.
There are $1.25Quadrillion of Real World Assets (RWA) to be Tokenized.
XRP to capture just 1% puts it at $12Trillion marketcap.

Wealth doesn't equate to money. Assets ≠ cash.

Let's say XRP became the new currency of the world and replaced the USD. There are about 20 Trillion USDs in the world.

Since XRP is capped at 100B tokens, with 100B cap and 20 trillion dollar worth of value, price of a single XRP token would be 200$

Like you said Ripple is a token/cryptocurrency. Not a stock. One's gotta compare it with currencies, not with assets.

In other words, it will take something extraordinary to happen for XRP to get there.

With Ripple owning so much XRP, it's doubtful it will go far. But if a deal is made with the US government to take control of Ripple's supply of XRP to replace the dollar, then it is highly likely it will become very valuable. But I don't see what Ripple would gain from giving up their supply of XRP. And frankly, it makes more sense that the US government would make their own version of XRP, one that they have full control of. If they can do this, then who is to say it won't potentially make XRP irrelevant?

But here's the hard truth: XRP is not needed if it can be replaced with something else. It seems blob has difficulty accepting this possibility.

Don't you think that the most intelligent thing to do is to read the XRP white paper?
Where it explains how/what/why XRP was designed?
Instead of making up assumptions of how you think it works?
