This video could just be an Apex hater by the way. Could be all made up, could be true. Who cares.

If you took the time to search a bit more, instead of posting nonsense here, as per usual, then you would find that other traders have had to explain their trading after violating this rule, and their payouts were subsequently approved.

Apex clearly states that specifically trading news is not allowed, but if you are trading your usual strategy, then it's fine.

I’m looking for a firm that accepts US clients, and allows news trading and weekend holding. I’m a swing trader who holds trades until my system says it’s time to close them. That can be a day, a week, or longer. I trade a bit NNFX like if you’re familiar with him, but not quite as rigid. I like trading the 4 hour chart.

I’m with Maven right now, and they have been alright so far, but their news trading rules make it difficult to trade the way I normally do. Maven doesn’t allow the opening or closing of trades in the 2 minutes before or after high impact news… which didn’t seem like a big deal at first, but now I’m hesitant to swing trade with them the way I prefer, because I want to close my trades when they need closed according to my system, and that also means whether high impact news is underway or not. Heck, high impact news is frequently what drives the price towards my TP. And taking profit during news isn’t allowed by Maven, so I’ve been trading low time frames with them to avoid news and I’m just not as comfortable with it. Day trading isn't in my blood.

All I want is a firm that accepts USA clients, allows news trading without restrictions, weekend holding, has balance based total drawdown instead of trailing, and pays out. So far, my options seem to be FXIFY and MPFunds based on my research. Any other ideas or recommendations? I don't care if daily drawdown is balance or equity based, just as long as it's reasonable (4%+).

Only two possibilities make sense to me. Either he and his sidekick are pushing some kind of agenda/disinformation campaign, or, they simply have no life at all and get some kind of amusement from trolling people.

So basically, if you scalp the volatility after big news they expect you to show them similar trades from the days before the news, when market is compressing before the storm? What nonsense is that? These days have nothing in common. How can you approach them equally? What if you use several setups? Yes, you should have proper money management, but you can not trade everyday the same way. Mechanical systems are doomed if you do not adapt them to the evolving market conditions. Trading is an art. If there is a edge in simple trading system it fades very quickly.

I agree when there's a news event I'm not "trading the news". I'm using it as the impetus that brings price into my kill zone. It's not a straddle. It's not opening a trade right before the event hoping to get lucky. It's a well thought out system that gives me an excellent opportunity to buy/sell at an optimum price. And for that, I'll be grilled like chicken with an APEX thermometer up my ass.

Micro Dow mini hunts stops like mad in off-market hours... You can easily sell the prop-firm future and buy the actual for a few bucks and just make money while the algos hunt the stop.

Have any of you thought of this?

Trying to find a decent prop firm which got DAX myself here. Ive noticed its not the easiest. You've got the high risk forex prop firms "cfd" but aside from that there seems to be no decent alternatives as far as I know.
