Agreed, they still do the "we win when you when" shuffle but we all know its complete BS. I too was a receiver of the "lot size" warning letter at one point. Even tho I never used more then 1/4 of available margin.

I shuttered the account when they said my only option is DX. It was a good run.

I thought that I had read somewhere that AMP Global offers negative balance protection for CFD's, but I guess that is not applicable to US traders.

If i wanted a firm with neg balance protection then I would go with the big ones, TD Direct, Schwab, etc

Hi Cryptosurf,

What does this mean? Does this only apply to their forex business or their futures business also?

Its nothing to get worked up over. From what I know the Global unit chasing the international (ETF+FX+CFD's) market was more of a headache then it is was worth. Everchanging regulatory framework, etc. AMP Futures was always their core business. The announcement about AMP global was made mid 2023.

AMP Futures had been around since 2010. If i recall, their push into Europe was in mid 2019. It only had only one platform (MT5) for international clients and it was fraught with problems.

FTMO CEO said 80% from fees 20% from copying. I don't believe they make 20% copying traders like they claim unless they have some broker-level risk management operation going on where they are hedging net exposure i.e. if there's 10,000 lots net long on gold, they may also take real long positions to reduce the exposure.

Their recent rule changes / gambling polices / T&C changes (that give them scope not to pay, to remove trades etc) imply they're were / are getting hammered by toxic traffic, much like the rest of the industry: https://ftmo.com/en/gambling-is-not-...to-make-money/

This nearly all comes from MT4/5 so with them being one of the few firms to retain those platforms will likely absorb all the toxic traffic.

In the meantime I received the payout from FXIFY but not without having to cry over support to get paid after more than 48 hours without anything happening. They changed to Rise but it seems the disorganization is the same.

From Blue not a word, despite multiple contacts. Always "checking" and "processing". I guess they may be struggling financially (and my payout is just 3K nothing huge)
