The answer is: I'm a greedy bastard

I've spent thousands of hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars on what I have now. And I don't want to teach anyone for free. And I don't even want to teach for money either, because it just doesn't make any sense.
I have servers, I have GPU, neural networks. I'm doing research that you've never even dreamed of. I know more than all of you put together.
And please tell me why and for what I will share this level of knowledge with strangers on the forum?

nobody will know if you make win or just talk big before someone see real account.
how many millions did you win already, or follow you would be useless?
how many decades you are in good consistent win, or follow you is useless.
how big account size you trade, i hope 7 figure account minimum or follow you is useless.

so maybe you are good, maybe you are worst trader, nobody knows. so follow someone , who did not show in real account personal that he earned very big over long time in thousand of trades is most stupid to do.
so of course useless when you offer before you are ready and have established such a basic and total useless to follow you until you are a good proven trader.

What candle is? Candle is an agreement, that for example within 1 hour interval first trade will be marked as Open, last trade as Close, highest vale as High ans Lowest as Low.

So if there will be no volatility at all and the orderbook will be almost empty then you can see good big candle.

I have been following you for at least the past 2 years and I am grateful and thankful for sharing your knowledge with us selflessly. I value your contribution greatly.

I am doing my best to understand the markets and to find a profitable way of trading. But without a mentor by my side I find it quite difficult.

I have been looking at market and limit orders in regards to the price for a few months now (I have made my own charts), but without major progress.

Now I am faced with a dilemma: Should I continue in searching and trying to find a missing piece (which may never happen) or should I put this part of my life behind and start with some different projects? My main question is: How can I determine if this profession is for me?

I know, you can not answer this question for me, but maybe you have some wisdom and advice for this particular situation.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Can I ask if you really enjoy trading with a passion regardless of profits, or are you just after a dollar.

Also what markets do you trade, and what platform and tools do you use when trading.

Currently I am not trading with real money. I am just doing backtest and paper trading.

I do like trading, and I would like to be a good at it (Money will come automatically).

My goal is:
Don't go bankrupt.
Don't lose capital.
Execute all trading rules without hesitation and flawlessly.

I am looking at crypto market. I am gathering data (via Bybit) into txt data and analyse them in excel.
Data: Executed market orders + what was the situation at that time in regards to limit orders.

Paper Trading is an excellent way of establishing a trading edge, don't let anyone give you some bullshit excuse where you need to feel emotions to be able to trade.

The issue you have with studying Executed Market Orders / Limit Order book situation is every market has its own rules. For example I trade NQ Futures a lot and in this market, HFT Algorithms actually trade against the rules. Here if the Order book is stacked with Sellers - HFT Algo's Buy.
On the Oil Futures Market, if the Order book is stacked with Sellers, HFT Algorithm's will also Sell.


What the Fuck?

That's the issue studying the Order Book - Its only valid for that particular market and your skillsets are not transferable to other markets.

What you are trading against in Futures & Crypto is these Algorithm's that are coded to trade generally like this example. They place a Buy & Sell order around the spread, then wait for one of these orders to be executed. If the order above price is executed, they start to load the book with Buy orders quicker than any other market trader / Algorithm program can copy because they are given private access directly inside the execution program.

We are screwed - well not quite.

At least we know what to look for now - extremely fast Market Orders.

PS. If you are going to study the Order Book, you need at least a basic level of automation. Therefore you need to define the process on how you will achieve some level of automation before you can be profitable trading the Order book. Get the process right and become part of the Algorithm Hunters.

It is hard to determine is trading is good for you or not. As I understand you are checking the orderbook. But I can say that I failed myself using it in trading same as stops. As for me orderbook is easy to spoof and create fake data. Same for stops: there are no math under that. So I use orderbook data only for exit purpose and never use it for entry. In fact you can enter the market at random place in random time and it doesn't matter.

I'm using only volume, distance and volume delta in my trading. And price of course. I don't use timeframes, open and close values. Only highs and lows and volume.
So if you want to be a trader you should understand how market works. Remember that only market orders move the price. And stops since they are always market orders too. In fact only that knowledge will let you win this game. Also you should forget all the bullshit you have ever read about support, resistance, bulls, bears, trading mood and other fairy tales

Setting a daily profit target helps you navigate and manage risk. It is also valuable that you share your knowledge and experience with other traders on the forum. There are no timeframes. Timeframe is fake that exist only in your head. it make no sense at all to compare the "candle" with 2 trades worth 100$ and next "candle" with 100m$ inside. So the indicators are also useless in this case too. Because who cares what average price (price? really?) was for those 2 "candles"?

This also make no sense. Market don't care what daily profit you want. If there are a lot of trades then you can earn. If there are no - even if you set your daily profit target it will be not achievable.
