How did you find success?

I am still in my learning phase of my trading journey and aiming for success.

Same here buddy, I am still learning and exploring new things in trading everyday. It's challenging yet very soothing if one has true passion along with right skills.

First few years, 2 years or so just was not profitable. Depending on how disciplined you are and how persistent you are, it can take longer.
Some days were profitable, then just gave it back a day later.
Consider the losses as your price for the education and experience. You will not be a winner until you know how to emotionally handle losses.

Whatever system or method you decide to go with, you have to be confident it's consistent and sustainable.
A larger account with a smaller % risked, will serve you better than a small account with a higher % risked.

Just like going to a casino, understand the numbers involved in your trading method. What is your edge? Is you expectancy positive or negative?
What is your expected drawdown?

The best way to weed out the golden nuggets from the junk out there are the numbers. Nothing else matters, not what someone thinks, not by how
great it's marketed . The only thing that matters is if that trading account grows over time to the levels you're satisfied with.

Even when you become profitable, the learning never ends, the markets will always change, so always adapt and take advantage of all the opportunities when they present themselves.

Successful Traders are just lucky by increasing probability of winning more often than not because successful traders have been obessing iver their mistakes failing forward enough times to lnow exactly what to avoid and why so they've spent over 10,000 hours seeing so many mistakes to aboid and candles moving and what works and what doesnt. beginners don't know enough just yet. Compare a little league baseball player to a major league baseball player and the little league player saying hey why aren't I famous and making millions, I also play baseball on a team. You get it ? you have ti graduate to be a major league player, no one becomes one without pain, struggle, failures, frustraing until they learn how to become that!

Ok first of if you can make a little, you can make a lot.
And if you can make a lot you can make so much you become a DANGER to the fucking world order.

Maintain trading rules and regulations for bringing success. You have to be dedicated and focus on multiple trading strategies to get a better signal. Right broker choosing plays a vital role.

I kept trading for several years and constantly learned on my own mistakes. There were periods of despair when I thought it was not possible to succeed. It was the most difficult thing, but I somehow overcame that. Dedication and hard work – that’s all.

There were moments of despair when success seemed unattainable. the key to success in trading is perseverance, determination, and a healthy dose of humor to laugh at our occasional blunders.

I quit twice, first after opening a small business, and then after starting to invest in real estate. Now its more like a hobby

By doing the opposite, religiously of what my teachers taught me.

I.e.

Put your stop loss below the bar, i put my entry there.

Have multiple pairs. I focused on one.

Trade everytime the signal shows. Trade only on specific hours of the day.

Have 2 color bars. I only used one.

So many more

I stopped caring about it a lot. I have read about and witnessed so many people getting destroyed by the markets financially. Not because they were bad tradersö but they were caring a lot to be named as good traders. So they were anxious and open to making mistakes. You just need to relax sometimes and go with the flow at trading. I am not saying not to follow your rules, but you can't let your emotions overwhelm you.

a decade into trading forex on hfm and the word success seems like an illusion LOL, but with all seriousness its easier to focus on consistency rather than pursue what seem to never wanna come your way, you get there when u get there.

Personally, I start improving when I focus on the methods that I excel at, always ensuring I have a clear reason to enter a trade and regularly backtesting my strategies before entering my trade.

Just try not to overthink. I once had a proble, of overthinking, you know it can be a two-sided trouble: you either over think that you are doing something wrong, or you ovethink that you are doing everything correct and then such an increased self-confiendce leads to losses.
I assume the skill of not overthinking can be acquired only by experience. The more you trade, the more you understand that if the indicator or pattern tells you opening the position, then it's better to do it not thinking that it's a false signal or stuff like that,
