So far I've deposited a little tuition money, been doing pretty well this past month, and I'm looking to enjoy a bit of my earnings. Yes, I had problems with the withdrawing. Over time , I had to abandon them.

Zero problems. They closed my account because I made to much money but gave me every dollar. Were talking over 100k. So they defiantly prefer losing traders but they are legit.

Thanks for responding. Were you making regular withdrawals or letting your account grow? I've heard that this affects whether or not they'll close a long-term client's account. Is this Oanda US? And have you found a good alternative US broker?

I was taking half profits out and leaving the other half in the broker so it was growing...but I was scalping and made 100k in around 3 months...They told me to fuck off in a nice way. I guess they don't like it when when you close and open trades in few seconds...scumbags...lol Im trading with Forex.com right now, there not as good for me as Oanda was.

Here is the email:

"We recently conducted a review of your account and unfortunately we are unable to continue to offer you the service.

Pursuant to our fxTrade - Customer Agreement, we are advising you that we have terminated the fxTrade - Customer Agreement between yourself and OANDA (Canada) Corporation ULC with immediate effect.

Your open trades and positions have been closed.

Upon account closure, all remaining balance(s) in your trading sub-accounts will be returned to the original source of funding or equivalent."

Wow. Even their email is still quite vague. Thanks for taking the time to send that also, it's a lot of help! Has Forex.com given you any issues with deposits/withdrawals? Or even a threat to close your account? XD

Forex.com is great as was Oanda problem is they got higher spreads and my strategy with this isn't as good as it was with Oanda. I mean any broker that's regulated by iiroc Canada isn't going to fuck around...but they can kick you like they did me...which sucks.

I don't like forex.com as much as oanda because they make you place a minimum distance on your stops and oanda doesn't ig does the same thing. But today's trades went well 57% wins 3.86 profit factor just testing out some new things small account 1.47% max drawdown at any given time according to the stats. Gotta keep it up

Oanda went completely insane.
They decided that they will purposely downgrade their desktop platform and from now on offer only black charts (?)
and terminate color schemes.
What morons are working there now?

do you have any update on what's going on with this issue? the background grid lines I had removed are back and I don't know how to remove them again.

I think option to remove them was "Draw Horizontal Graph Line" "Draw Vertical Graph Line" but now that doesn't do anything.
They just forced this half baked shit on us, and worse thing is light theme also has black charts WTF?

that is for the grid crosshair when you're hovering your mouse around, not for the background grid lines. There used to be a menu where you can change all the colors of candlesticks and what not I forgot how to get to that option/

Colors of candlesticks change you just click on them and small menu appears with choice of "Rising" and "Falling" colors for candlesticks.
For background grid lines try upper right button option "show Minor Grid"

that minor grid doesn't fully remove the grid, there was a menu or a hidden menu where you can change all the colors completely to whatever you want, so I made the grid line color black and It would make all charts default black with no grid.

the one with the grid is how it looks like now.

I found a picture of how I had it before.

Well i did say they have removed (custom) color schemes, that is my main complaint so no you cant change colors anymore.

I'm a long time Oanda user and I have mixed feelings about the update. It feels like they're trying to force users to use TradingView charts as it's clear that they have some sort of arrangement going on with them.

Spread for GBPNZD and EURNZD has more than doubled with no explanation (and I doubt there is a valid reason other than ripping off their customers).

GBPNZD have doubled in spread as well as everything else after this weekend. Even EURUSD I was getting 1-1.2 now around 2 pips. WTF is going on?

Right now, for EURUSD (Asia session), I'm getting 1.3-1.6pips. A bit higher than normal, but nothing compared to GBPNZD where the spreads were around 2.5-3.2pips normally and now it's 7pips.

If an Oanda rep wants to explain this, feel free to do so. If not, we'll just assume the worst about how you treat your customers. We didn't even get an email saying anything about the increase in the spread, not that it would make the increases acceptable.
