I have been involved in such a situation. At the end, when circumstances changed and I wanted to withdraw, he was not very happy and words like "traitor" being thrown around. Yet, plenty of my ideas being used, over and above all the utility functions that I have developed over the years. Zero appreciation for almost 5 years of work. If someone claims to be a Forex millionaire, yet make use of free coding services, you really need to start to question the legitimacy of such claims. I hope others will learn from this and be more careful than I was....

I was wondering if you could give me some insight on a coding concept.........But I tried to analyze a couple of dashboards just to see how to get an "arrow" mt4 indicator to alert on the 1 minute time frame with any currency pair.......... I just wanted a very simple dashboard to alert just on the 1 minute timeframe. But I didn't know what's the special line of code to insert in the custom code box that creates that dashboard effect............Could you please help me see what part of the code I'm missing to make a simplistic dashboard to just...
Attached are build 600-compatible mq4 files for two dashboards that I've written. The code to print the symbols in the dashboard body is in lines 119 thru 126 of the MA dashboard, and in lines 141 thru 148 in the Stochastic dashboard. The stochastic version allows multiple colors in the Colors parameter setting, while the MA allows just two colors. Hopefully these will give you some ideas to work with. However, if this is unclear, perhaps you could post your request here and one of the other programmers will be kind enough to code it for you.

I was thinking of using an arrow indicator to catch the swing highs and swing lows just on the 1 minute timeframe.
And whenever they painted at the major reversals I wanted the dashboard to show which currency pairs it is when the arrow painted.
Some dashboards have stop losses and take profit included, but I didn't want to add any other features. I just wanted to use one arrow indicator set at a certain period or depth.
Similar to this semafor 3LZZ scanner dashboard, but instead of scanning 3 different reversal arrows . . . I was just

I think I can analyze the lines you mentioned and substitute the stochastic with the arrow indicator I want to use
I will look carefully at the other components and just copy and paste the other parts.
I think it's a great tool. I do it manually now, just clicking from currency to currency, but I said a dashboard would
be kool.

I'm going to give it a try, just to see if I'm able to figure it out. But if I can't seem to figure it out, then I will go with your next suggestion to post it and see if someone will try to make it into a dashboard.

Wow, that is some coding out of this world you did.
I can only dream to be able to code anywhere near that level.

And aw man your dashboard code is top of the line deluxe luxury model of coding.

The candle numbers work like this:
0 = the currently forming candle
1 = the most recently completed candle (just to the left of candle 0)
2 = the candle to the immediate left of candle 1
3 = the candle to the immediate left of candle 2
and so on.
The two critical parameters are:
NumberOfCandles: this is the number of candles on each side of the 'master' candle that are tested. If the master candle has the highest high out of all of these candles, the bull signal (green box) appears.If the given candle has the lowest low out of all of these candles, the bear signal (red box) appears.
UseCompletedCandle: if true, the currently forming candle (candle 0) is not considered, because it hasn't yet completed; if false, the currently forming candle is the first one to be considered.
Some examples should hopefully make this clear.
Example #1: NumberOfCandles = 2, UseCompletedCandle = false
Hence, to prove that the master candle is a swing high or swing low, two candles either side of the 'master' candle must be tested. Since UseCompletedCandle = false, the candles being tested are 4,3,2,1,0. Hence candle 2 is the master candle, and if it has the highest high of all of the candles, the green box appears, if it has the lowest low, the red box appears.
Example #2: NumberOfCandles = 2, UseCompletedCandle = true
Since the current candle is excluded from consideration, the candles being tested are 5,4,3,2,1. Hence candle 3 is the master candle, and if it has the highest high of all of the candles, the green box appears, if it has the lowest low, the red box appears.
Example #3: NumberOfCandles = 3, UseCompletedCandle = true
Three candles either side of the 'master' candle are being tested. Since the current candle is excluded from consideration, the candles being tested are 7,6,5,4,3,2,1. Hence candle 4 is the master candle, and if it has the highest high of all of the candles, the green box appears, if it has the lowest low, the red box appears.
Example #4: NumberOfCandles = 4, UseCompletedCandle = false
Four candles either side of the 'master' candle are being tested. Since the current candle is included, the candles being tested are 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0. Hence candle 4 is the master candle, and if it has the highest high of all of the candles, the green box appears, if it has the lowest low, the red box appears.
Important: Note that the enough candles must complete after the 'master' candle, to confirm whether it has the highest high or lowest low of both the preceding and the following candles, and is therefore a fractal swing high or swing low. Otherwise the indicator would repaint.
If UseCompletedCandle = false, you can use Dimitry Timin's free Adjustable Fractal indicator (attached, which I obtained from here) to print arrows above/below the swing highs/lows, to verify that the dashboard is working correctly. See the screenshot.
