Yes, sure pays to trade with these"regulated" scumbags. My 3 offshore "unregulated" brokers are working just fine.

It still amazes me how everyone thinks Oanda was a hero that day. They could forgive the negative balances, BECAUSE THEY TRADE AGAINST YOU!!!! The brokers who actually send your orders through to the LPs couldn't forgive the negative balances. Wake up people. If you do not reside in the US, there are a ton of DMA brokers, if you are in the US, you will still find way better conditions with the 3-4 trustworthy offshore brokers.

Last time, I named brokers, I was accused of being affiliate. Very simple google search. Look for the ones been around 5-6+ years. There is also a thread on baby pips, all the homework has been done and you hear from people with live accounts.

German Government, aligned with another 9 EU states, confirmed Tobin Tax, starting soon, on Stocks "only", (for now).0,2 % when entering and again closing.40 Euros per 10000 investment.
Translated to Forex: 20 pips spread tax to enter, and another 20 pips to close. If they put in on Forex, then the only viable chart to trade will be the Monthly, enter today, close in 10 years, if your gain is 500 pips then 40 pips spread is negligible.

I really don't know how you folks do it...as a US customer and not being offshore. I opened a small account with a US broker, just to maybe diversify some risk.
Right now I have 730,000 worth of positions open with my offshore brokers, it is eating up 1,010 of my available margin, I have 40,000 open in the US and it is using 800- and that's only because I'm trading a 50:1 pair, God forbid it was a GBP pair it would be eating up 2,000- double my offshore margin. Then I tried to set a TP and I guess because I have it split into two orders, this VIOLATES A FIFO RULE.

So to summarize my findings this morning.....730,000 worth of trades uses 1,010 of margin offshore and 40,000 worth of trades uses 800-2,000 of margin in US. Don't split your orders of the same size up because you cannot modify them.

You guys can keep this shit. lol

I am using STARC indicator on my phone with oanda.

But i can't find it on their internet platform : trade.oanda.com.

Is there any solution to have STARC ? custom indicator or put 2 mobile averages ?

Does Oanda usually not pay swap on weekends? I recently started making some carry trades. Last month I was getting paid on weekends. Now I'm just getting zeros showing in the financing activity tab during swap times.

You could consider the commission based trading there. Then eu spread for example is more like .1 to .3. But then you pay commission as well. Cost equals out the same I'm pretty sure but might be better for performance.

Yeah that's trading view based. No starc but you can fake it pretty good with envelopes.

I got this reply from support on swaps. "Wednesday, the 'weekend roll' will be occurring for most instruments. This means clients will be paid or charged 3 days worth of financing today on most instruments. This will be offset by clients not paying any financing on Saturday and Sunday."

I think that topic deserves a separate thread, if verified... This Tobin Tax has been on a plate for quite some time, for forex also... But if the EU does this, it will shot itself in the foot... UK might then HARVEST the run-away traders... I mean until few years ago EU was almost dream land for traders... As US limited leverage, EU offered a good spot for trading in a relatively reliable environment with basically unlimited trading tools such as high leverage... Now they are f.ing it up... Time to HEDGE things...
