Is H4 forming a H&S top? My strategy is to build a long-term buy position in Gold, using protective reversal-stop-orders to lock-in gains and remove some profit from the table along the way. Let's see where H4 takes us in the short-term and see just how well this protective hedge works (or fails).

Morning traders a little bit late to the party.......
We are on holiday here, so slept in abit.

Stops on the 1525.8 short moved to 1523.....

Let's run the numbers and see today's levels.

later placed a buy on this trade.............allowed profit turn to loss........lost 11 pips...... because price formed another pattern-a lower high.
i however had a fixed SL of 20+ pips buh my saving grace was that price was still making higher lows so i was able to exit with -11 pips

However, with the lower highs and higher lows price formed, which was almost at a bursting point, i got confirmation of my MA to sell as it past the resistance....just woke up to see about 40 pips..........would have even been more as price was already retracing/reversing........

24/09/19

As things stand, our buy dips throughout monday saw us trade towards that first 1527ish handle before we began selling. The H1 buy zone supplied all the buy setups throughout the day and proce didnt retest the h4 or some of our key areas on the lower H1 and m15 chart.

The hourly chart seems to be setting up a possible HnS that would still be around the inside shoulder of the bigger HnS pattern we identified and traded two weeks ago when price retested the 1524/5 handle as such will be looking at possible dips toward the H4 area before any further breakouts, with that said i wont be looking to buy the h1 setup unless price manages to break and stay above the 1527 handle...


H1: Buy Zone: 1518.42 1521.25
H4: Buy Zone:1509.63 - 1514.49

on H1 rather i see something like this...
however, watching what price does at these triangular support and resistance levels in conjuction with our intra day levels for today...

Bit of a falling wedge, so price tracking lower and a breakout of the wedge resistance seeing it push higher? Fits in with the looking at price dipping before dipping, ofcourse if it continues dropping will look to see where it is relative to our levels for the day....NICE

Tune of the day for me becomes to look to buy dips, alternatively will wait for it to close above 1527 then will look to buy towards 1537....London bought so will look for buy entries

Yes... at the MO will only looking for sell as too near to the upsides level and fib 61.8%. No confidence at Buying dips. Hehehe. Just my opinion. Btw, thanks bud for this thread I have learned a lot from you. Specifically for the patience, you keep telling us to be patient
