Well Richard Donchian is known as the father of trend following, so dare I suggest Donchian channels?

and another two in eur/jpy, one up followed by one down trend. I'm still in the short trade.

To check if there are any scheduled or un-scheduled news.. to check if there are no bank holidays, important events etc... is volume, liquidity, swap coming? good part of week, day etc... if all go.... then at right opportunity, attack, see what happens.. and some point you have to do it and wait BTW I prefer not to check the market all the time, after I enter... I am not a tick by tick guy.. but research, do it... review later... if possible... some entries have to be tracked live but not many, in my case anyway...
Can you afford to take that chance?

Price. Forget time. People just use time frames because that's how our mind work. We want to think in blocks of time for helping understand what happens. But price doesn't care about time.

Try range charts. You will see what I mean.
