That's right. Think big. In the market, what we are doing actually is think processing. The SYSTEM itself which is thinking mechanically, Market makers, Retail traders doing Human thinking. In this whole process those who have an edge to gain profit consistently had adapted & adjusted their thought process to the Market. Either by means of using their thinking capacity or converted their ideas into mechanical process. Congratulations to them.
Well, i have been trading since July, 2015. Its been 3 years. Yet i am not a profitable trader, no idea how long it would take. I am still learning everyday. Like the rest newbies, i jumped here there & learnt this learnt that from different forums & websites. I started with forex, then did binary couple days, gave up & started forex trading. I traded with indicators without indicators, with robots blah blah blah. In between i accidentally won couple forex contests, actualy 4 times. 2 in the first place & 2 in the 2nd place! I got some cash from there. I got over confident, with high leverage & higher lot size i started to trade like the contests in real account. I made double triple the account, withdrew & spent. Never thought about there might be rainy day. So along the journey the imminent rainy day came up.
It came in waves, first wave, second wave.....Each wave i started to loose the balance, tweak system, loose confidence. Finally left with a small leftover.
Why writing a trading journal. I feel like i need to write a journal of what i am doing to keep me in the game.
The last manual live trade i took was middle of March, 2018. The last automated live trade was middle of April, 2018. Then i stopped live trading once again. Nearly 3 months i am demo testing different strategies in automation. I blew up couple few hundreds of demo accounts & successfully still blowing up. By the time i am writing this, another 2 maybe in the process of blowing up.
Who on earth do demo tests on 50$ or 100$ demo accounts. Yes I do, on a regular basis. Because i believe if a small account survives the system, so the big account shall. If any of my strategy works out i will take them bigger account in later part. For the time being demo & sometime small live accounts to test them. What is the duration i would consider to take em to live account, no idea. It depends on my confidence. Everyday in the market is unique, so todays result or whole last year result might not work tomorrow or next year. So I dont do backtest only forward testing.
At the moment you are seeing 4 strategies in progress, all in automation no manual intervention. They might crash, i will add new then, or i will add or remove when i think this is not working.
Goal is to design one or few strategies which will give little return consistently. Of course in full automation. Because of my Profession i work in remote places, sometimes me & my co-workers are the only people in couple of hundred miles Manual trade wont be possible , for what i am trying to design such in automation.
Lets roll.
Thats the inspiration
