You would need to inquire with the active trader team directly about being able to trade micro lots in an active trader account. The minimum monthly volume requirement to qualify for the active trader account is 10 million per month so trading micro lots would probably not get you there, but I could see some traders asking for this to have greater customization for risk management.

General word of caution if you're trading today around 5pm ET (21:00 GMT)....The Greek government's confidence vote is scheduled to begin at 21:00 GMT (17:00 New York Time) and last approximately for 30 minutes, which also coincides with daily rollover. Traders should be cautious about market volatility if trading any euro pairs during this period. If you checked your post history you would see that before these posts you posted on the 17th and 7th of may before that April 24 April 13.... hardly 6 months ....

Update on holiday trading hours and rollover:

There is 5X rollover today (June 29) for CAD and HKD pairs and 4X rollover for all other pairs due to bank holidays. This Friday (July 1) there is no rollover for any currency pairs. Please keep this in mind if holding any trades open at 5:00pm ET.

There will be no changes for forex trading hours due to the July 4 holiday in the US, but there will be modifications for some of the CFD trading hours on Monday July 4th. Below is a list and all times are in GMT.

Hi Julian,

FXCM offers gold and silver trading through our UK entity FXCM UK, and traders can continue to trade gold and silver through FXCM UK.

The Dodd-Frank bill only impacts US regulated brokers and FXCM US has never offered gold and silver trading.

Hello,

I want to open a FXCM Micro account soon, are there a few people in the forum which use FXCM Micro and could share their experience? How long do you have to wait for a withdraw?

FXCM has a great trading platform (the main reason I choose FXCM) and their spreads are OK. But the business model is horribly wrong in my opinion. I want to open a 1000 $ account because I'm a beginner, but some smart guy had the idea to set a limit of 2000 $ for a standard account. So I don't get any real support and possibly I have to wait a few days for an e-mail response if I have issues.

The funny thing is, Micro clients can't even use the Chat support while the chat staff is ready to help non-customers with any issue in their demo account.

I very well understand FXCM makes more money with those people with a standard account, but if you don't make enough money with people starting with 50 $, set a minimum of 500 $ or 1000 $. FXCM is actually the only broker I know which treats their customers this way.

Just my opinion...

I've just went to a Micro FXCM account from a standard ( Hard times ), seems identical so all good so far.

The $2000 limit on a standard is new that was only £300 GBP when I opened my standard account 7years back.

On the plus side, you shouldn't really ever need support and you can always ask Jason on here for near enough instant support

The $50 worked for me I'll add, I like that so please leave that as is.

If u r not from the US you could go around the 2K minimum requirement ...

I visited FXCM UK and FXCM Germany, as far as I understand the minimum for every FXCM standard is 2000 USD.
