I looked at them on SimpleFX. They have a lot, but I have no idea what their rating is. Due diligence.

SimpleFX is good. I have been using them for the last year and a half. Fast execution and no slippage. I used to be able to withdraw my profits in crypto and it would be processed within seconds, but they changed that and added a fee (less than a dollar for most altcoins, ~$15 for bitcoins). Now most withdrawals are processed within 2 hours or overnight.

There was an incident a few weeks ago when their liquidity provider did not honor any Bitcoin Cash / USD trades (another crypto) when it was very volatile and the price on Ssimplefx did not move when the actual crypto spiked like 50%. So they canceled the trades for their customers which pissed a lot of people off, but it wasn't really their fault (to be fair, it any broker accidentally offered to sell you EURUSD at 1.0000 when it was trading at 1.1800, they would cancel those trades as well). They have switched liquidity providers since. But with developed crypto's, aside from the huge spread which plagues every broker, they are great.

No, I believe they are receiving pricing/liquidity from some LP/Market Maker which allows to make/lose money on the movements of bitcoin however trades placed on MT4 are not recorded on the blockchain and you do not have a wallet with Bitcoin sitting in it.

Otherwise how would it be possible to sell bitcoin without owning any?

You don't need a broker to trade in cryptocurrencies. All you have to do is go to any reputable cryptocurrency exchanges on the internet, register and you will be ready to trade after funding the account.

Exchanges don't provide leverage for trading, poloniex(HIGHLY UNSECURED BROKER) is providing leverage i guess but very low.

If you're in US/Europe, GDAX is the way to go I feel. You're buying the underlying and GDAX matches your orders like a proper exchange, so if you're making money they won't hold on to it or stop you from trading.

As for CFDs, have any of you who are already trading, tried to withdraw your profits? Which broker is allowing and which isn't?

Cryptos at these prices I feel are strictly to be traded. I wouldn't "invest" i.e. buy and hold at these prices. I like putting stoplosses while trading. I don't think I can do it with coinbase for e.g., can I? I don't even think you can buy/sell instantly on coinbase unless you're in the US, but I maybe wrong.
