Hi all,
I've been trying to find an indicator that returns the ROC of a simple moving average. Is there such a thing that a standard in most charting software?
I'm just looking for a numeric value to define the slope of the MA. If the value of MA is greater than the value of the MA 'n' bars ago, then the slope is positive and reverse that obviously to get a negative value.
Clearly this could be plotted using a spread-sheet or perhaps created in a platform that allows for custom indicators to be created. I just want to make sure I'm not re-inventing the wheel before doing something like that.
Thanks,
Jonathan
