Hello traders,

There definitely is an indicator though can't find a proper one - I am looking for an indicator that alerts (beeps) when price starts moving fast (during news event etc., ex. moves >20 pips in <10 seconds) - anybody could share?

Does anyone have or know of an indicator that will draw a horizontal line on the Open, Close, High or Low of any candle specified by the user? NOT all 4 of them at one time..........ONE of them at a time, just the user has the option of which to use. Ever indicator I have found either shows all 4 of them at once OR they all show Daily Opens or Weekly Opens or High's/Lows. Anyone have anything like this?

You can find " Volatility alarm " Alert in 1 minute not 10 seconds Serch in FF " the-equilibrium-a-key-to-success " page = 44 post 1,296

Actually that's Bluerain made, I only enchance a little... that indicator only to detect one bar High Low and draw line.

you can do that using BlueRain HMLBarsIndexLines.mq4 as reference

if the cci is above/below 18, and it's a new direction, highlight that bar, I'll assume completed bars and that you're using another thicker histogram.

Hey Jean thanks for your input I will try that tomorrow see if I can get the result Im looking for, yes I can code if I have a basic sample I can read, understand the logic (may take longer, depend on the complexity of the snippet) but I dont usually give up and I will get to that, I see your code include some alien wording to me like:

This is exactly what I was getting at. Every indicator uses High's, Low's, Open and this one actually has a Mid....but none of them give you an option to ONLY use the CLOSE of the candle to produce the horizontal line

Slingshotrange is an excellent plotting indicator coded by you. It offers opportunity to use it for strategies like HML , ADR% . If you could include the user ability to define lookback bars with a switch to lookback from a fixed YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM or the current price, then I will be able to use your Slingshot indicator for Support and Resistance Lines touches as well and trade Support and Resistance by watching screen.

Anyone who wants to code an indie (EA) taking into acount the following pattern?

The pattern for a long trade occurs when:
1. Bar 1 makes a 60-day high (bar 1’s high is higher than
the high of the previous 59 days); it should also be the
highest of bars 2 through 7.
2. There is at least a 3% pullback/selloff (from the high
of bar 1 to the low of bar 6; bar 6 should be the lowest
of bars 1 through 7).
3. Bar 7’s high is higher than bar 6’s high.
4. Buy at the high of bar 7 plus an increment the next day
(bar 8).
For a short trade, reverse steps 1 through 4 above.

I trade BBMA so in theory if the price is above EMA50 it's an uptrend and vice versa
