I understand your point. No worry. Also I have no illusion about markets and basically no ego about it. 2% is better than 1%. Talking smart is for people who like to talk. I prefer to earn than talk.

What you said here about crypto and its participants is like a wet dream. I am used to fight blindly (no volume) with brutal market like GU EU. Now i started use volume. I hope i will not hurt anybody on non-brutal market.

If beginner - do not try to make money. Use small positions. It is the most important for beginner. M<istakes are un avoid able - pay less for them.

Agree

If you trade Crypto USDT coins, it’s easy to learn the crypto game.

Trade a pair like XRPUSDT (or most pairs except btc and eth) when it’s showing good volume and all you need to trade with is $10 USDT.
Its unlikely you could lose that amount trading small in a whole week.

Then you win the right after doubling your money to wear one of these t shirts.

I will try like this - ByBit + MT4 ByBit (for placing/managing orders) + Quantower / ATAS (for setup: volume/delta/distance).

Setup: Volume + 3Delta + Distance is provided by Ryan. I am used to different methods of Distance measuring but frankly - it is all the same.
Setup: OB-OS filtered (overbought/oversold) - usual tools from MT4.
Trigger: OHLC from MT4
Trigger: FOOTPRINT from Quantower/ATAS.
Trigger: The Wall - probably like Ryan described in post in the beginning - from WEBPAGE.

At this point no BOT - i have no idea how to start them, lets start with basics. I code some mq4 like a baby-coder.

I think you started with the wrong one, you've chosen the wrong way. O told you many times but you don't listen me.

1. FORGET ABOUT MT4. It is bullshit. You don't need to use it to trade crypto.
2. FORGET ABOUT Quantower (and any other software). You don't need it.
3. FORGET ABOUT footprint.

What you need.

0. LEARN HOW TO MANAGE LEVERAGE!!! LEARN HOW TO CALCULATE IT! IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER HERE.
Until you REALLY FULLY UNDERSTAND it DO NOT EVER THINK ABOUT QUANTOWER AND FOOTPRINT. YOU ARE NOT READY!

1. Bybit account with 10$-50$ deposit.
2. Put ema6low, wma6high, ema33, ema60, ema120, ema240 on chart
3. My website where you can see WHAT TO TRADE
4. (Optionally) basic tradingview account with my Delta indi

Now open the website and check what to trade:

Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: screenshot.png
Size: 16 KB

1 - is the desired volume per minute.
2 - MA order. I recommend skip Mixed, trade only if Long or Short
3 - Distance. Market fee on bybit = 0.06 * 2 = 0.12%, so if yo see here 0.3% then it is twice bigger that the free, so it is good to trade. More distance more chances to close your position in profit.

Now when you have chosen what to trade only now you can start to check Delta. The easiest way is to trade 3-in-a-row.

When you will master 15m TF with 3-in-a-row approach only then you can go deeper!

Do not skip the steps! They all are very important. If you skip some you will have to return back and master it anyway. Or you will fail!
There are no magic in this world. You have to learn, try and get your experience first.

First thanks for all the info you provide here, very interesting and logical.
I've been following this for a while, trade Crypto on weekends only and Gold during the week, that aside, I have a few questions to clarify the reasoning/logic in my mind. If you could elaborate it would be greatly appreciated
You mention M15 TF - fine
You mention volume - fine
You mention leverage & lot size - fine
My question relates to the EMas - understand the EMa6 - you use for room, why did you set "6" which on M15 = 90 minute high & low, why not another EMa?
Now a crypto day has 24 hours = 96 M15 candles, so why choose "EMa33, EMa60, EMa120 and EMa240"
The 24 hrs day has basically main sessions Asian, London & NY sessions = 3 sessions = 24/3 = 8 hrs = 32 EMa M15
Half day = 12 hours = 48 M15 TF
Day = 24hours = 96 M15 TF
2 Day = 48 = 192 M15 TF (Approx 200)
1/2 Week = 336
Week = 672
So interested to know the mathematical logic behind your choice of EMas 33,60,120,240
Thanks, any explanation greatly appreciated.

Just because it is 1/10 of 60 (1 min)
for example I'm not using ema200, I'm using ema240. Because I can say that 240 = 60 * 4 (1/4 of it), but what the heck is 200 I just even can't describe for myself

33 is just for fun, why not 30? Don't know. You can use 31 or 43. It doesn't matter. I just show people that all that numbers are just numbers. There are no "best" setup and there is no need to waste time searching for it.

For example I'm using EMA, RickM uses VWMA. If you ask me why I'm using EMA - because Exponential Moving Average is cool, but Simple Moving Average is not so cool. That's all why

Regarding to forex sessions: I told many times that using indicators is useless. Because to get your favorite ema200 on 5m TF you need to analyze 600 candles back. 600 candles * 5 min each = 3000 min = you will collect all that shit Asian session/weekend/holiday data in your calculations. Better not to calculate at all then have that quality of data.

Thanks for your insight.
Looks like I get TradingView (TV)
You mention your Delta Indi, is that available on the TV site or available elsewhere, looked here but unable to find it, please advise if you would?
I read that you don't trade Gold even though volume is good because no volume data is available for free.
I believe that M1 etc volume is available for free via yF, if you need/would like the .py code just let me know and will send via PM if you like.
Thanks again.

Hello RickM,

I am very interested in the way you are trading thin liquidity.

I've read a lot of your posts and they have been very helpful. It's brought me closer to looking at volume and 'orderflow' as the way to trade high probability setups. I was wondering if you have a discord where one can learn how you are trading in one place?

I am learning more about trading e-mini futures with volume analysis and order flow analysis. Would love to learn a proper setup on how to trade the aggressive market orders.

Thank you

Regards,
Brandon

I'm not trading gold because general setup (min lot size, leverage, distance) is not good. If you compare with crypto then there is 10x times difference (not in gold favor).
Also I don't have time to code everything for mt4/5 because I see no purpose wasting time for that. I have chosen python as my main language.
May be later I'll create bot for mt5, because mt5 has python library available. But for now I'm too lazy to do it haha

About your code, as I understand you are talking about Yahoo Finance? If yes I have that code. Also I can take live websocket data (little cheat) from tradingview. So I have already all the data except real volume. I don't thing Yahoo provide real volume. I can get if from CME even using subscription, but anyway I'm not vey interested in it for now. Trading on forex is too expensive and too risky for me.

Yes, yF is yFinance, I am told (unconfirmed) that the volume is available for Gold to M1 from CME.
If you could advise re indicators greatly appreciated and will get TV.

You need the volume indicator to confirm this action is real.
Could of been a low volume fake out half way up - that's a great fade.
If the move half way up was on strong volume - Buy Buy Buy

Wish I was trading when it happened, clemmo did you trade it by any chance?

If I see chart from forex broker with BTC on 1H tf - indeed there is no need to have any indicator. All you need is calculator first.

TV indicators are custom and they are no available for public. About volume I got you. But to trade we need to zipped data, but live trades. Zipped data only good to trade 3-in-a-row setups, yes, but not real volume delta scalping. That's what I'm talking about... So the only way here is CME data, it has trades.

I did not. I may take a long-term position on higher highs. As you say, this seems very fadeable. The fallout from FTX is not nearly over, etc.

Still, I think it's generally not a bad idea to put out some lines when price is flat and if I had taken a chance I'd be fairly pleased even if it does come all the way back.
