German exports in May 2026: +0.9% compared to April 2026
In May 2026, German exports rose by 0.9% compared to April 2026, while imports fell by 2.5%, after adjusting for calendar and seasonal effects. Compared to the same month of the previous year, May 2025, exports increased by 6.1% and imports by 6.9%, as the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) further reports based on preliminary results. In May 2026, Germany exported goods worth €137.9 billion and imported goods worth €118.8 billion, adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations.
