    In a victory for importers and a setback for the Trump Administration, the Court of International Trade struck down a second round of worldwide tariffs that the president ordered to replace import levies that were outlawed by the U.S. Supreme Court. This orange clown will manufacture another distraction to make importers and consumers' lives difficult. He will keep doing this until the end of his term, and then he will give blanket pardons to everyone in his administration, his family, and himself.

Very true. This is how empires fall when corruption gets so rampant. It is hard to have positive hope when MAGA voters normalize this, and the body of government that is responsible for checks and balances is morally corrupt.

I don't see the checks on power. The executive controls all enforcement arms so neither the judicial nor legislature can do anything. The system is totally dependent on the executive being a gentleman and agreeing to play by the rules. We've been lucky up to this point.

If the president says he's not obeying any courts or laws, what are you going to do to stop him?

That is when Congress has to step in to impeach the President. Regardless of who is in power at the executive level, Republicans or Democrats. But need a backbone to do that, which the current congress has none. Without the rules, this country stands for nothing. And it is 1 man doing all of this. Such a precedent he has set for the future, as we will probably see more nut jobs as President who will try to emulate him.

The problem is republicans in congress see that only Trump-backed candidates win primaries, so they can't cross him. But even if they impeach him and convict, Trump is the boss of the army that would throw him out. He could just tell them no, go away, I'm not leaving.

That's why I say whoever dreamed up this system is a supreme imbecile.

Three World Class American Destroyers just transited, very successfully, out of the Strait of Hormuz, under fire. There was no damage done to the three Destroyers, but great damage done to the Iranian attackers. They were completely destroyed along with numerous small boats, which are being used to take the place of their fully decapitated Navy.
