There are approximately 1800 ships stuck in the area and on 1st or maybe 2nd day of the blockade one may have sneaked through and the Iranian media is so excited about it. Unfortunately it may make history for becoming the only ship that got through.
Also, it doesn't say if it was incoming or outgoing. Most likely incoming which means it won't be getting out.
Nobody wants to send ships to Iran ports for the fear of having the ship confiscated by US.

if I had to guess and think strategically, this is about weaponizing the Malacca strait, because these tankers will need to pass that choke point to reach final customers - which is an important life-line for China - this potentially put pressure on China to force it to concede whatever they are discussing in the background.
