    The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 0.7 percent in February, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Final demand prices moved up 0.5 percent in January and 0.4 percent in December 2025. (See table A.) On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand rose 3.4 percent for the 12 months ended in February, the largest 12- month advance since increasing 3.4 percent in February 2025. This is one of the highest numbers we've seen since the pandemic. It's not cheap to produce stuff.
And yet, this was not even mulled over with the Iran action today. I would never go so far as to say the decision was made to bomb energy infrastructure on the same morning as very high PPI, BUT, the increase in input costs can't be overlooked....especially when massive energy-related inflation is the talk of the town.

The recession indicators have been raised 15 point since 2020. The highest till 2020. It is a fact, find the information in the economics data. Key recession indicators include an inverted yield curve (short-term rates higher than long-term), rising unemployment (Sahm Rule), decreased consumer spending, high inflation, and declining manufacturing output. Leading indicators also include falling stock prices, fewer building permits, and increased debt delinquencies, etc. Good job with the economy!....., (yes! I'm sarcastic!).
