Euro area annual inflation up to 1.9%

Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 1.9% in February 2026, up from 1.7% in January according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, services is expected to have the highest annual rate in February (3.4%, compared with 3.2% in January), followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (2.6%, stable compared with January), non-energy industrial goods (0.7%, compared with 0.4% in January) and energy (-3.2%, compared with -4.0% in January).
