As sad as this is, it's already proven europe is very fragmented and can't decide on anything they just like to pat themselves on the back.
Unfirtunatly trump knows this and will grab everything. At this point our only option is to listen to the airbus ceo and massproduce tactical nuclear weapons for every eu country. Let's see who tries this bullshit after

Europe has already done things with Greenland, and they are more likely to repeat it again. The path is well trodden, whether one likes it or not. You are right, tectonic plates are shifting and Europe once again is in a bad place. Just study the last 150 years on so. For some war has been and still is a wonderful and necessary thing to cover multitudes of scams, lies, frauds and above all to make money and wash the blood stains from gold, coins, paper, paintings ect... by the agency by a well "respected" institutions.

I dont think people appreciate the level of infiltration:

- von der leyen raised her family in california, was trained in how to betray Europe before she was given power positions in EU
- ECB supported over throwing Iraq, who refused to sell its oil in USD, instead it wanted to sell it in Euro,
- Sweden made up fake charges against Assange who targeted war crimes committed by murikans in its wars
- Denmark jailed a Danish intelligence analyst for blowing the lid on murikan targeted espionage against EU leaders
- EU closed its airspace for Snowden after he also revealed mass spying operation against EU citizens, leaders and much of the western world - Norway did not even respond to his asylum request.
- Nord-stream was bombed destroying EU industrial production, who now buys LNG for 4x the price of piped Russian gas, from the party that bombed the pipe.

The lack of strategy is not accidental, its deliberate.

This vassalage have always been there, I just think now its out in the open and more people are questioning, including the EU elite.

But my instinct tells me Greenland is different, it would really remove Europe from any geo-political say for the next century or more, it would cement its dependency further. The issue is that US does not want to extract the natural resources of Greenland only, it needs those trillions of assets in its asset sheets to prop up the dollar - the elites of Europe have been thrown under the bus time and time again and my instinct tells me they rather fight this and can manage to find consensus,

Many dont realize, many of the regime change operations in west asia and the Arab world, removed EU private and state companies and replaced them with murikan private corporations... EU tax payers footed the bill, and murikan corporations got the benefit... it can only go so far before even the donkey start rebelling.

Spain a NATO member and EU member have already started shaping its own policies, my hope is France will start soon and it will be a domino effect with other major powers like Germany, Denmark, Hungary etc joining - If not, EU is cooked for centuries to come.

All it needs is an unforeseen or planned incident of a naval vessel anywhere close or farther away from Greenland coast (all can be arranged as the world is one big agora) and Greenlanders would beg for the US army to come and protect, or just asked Wehrmacht to send them old blankets and world war II helmets, if there are still some left or returned from Ukraine.

Seems pretty simple. Trump tells the EU to make a choice. Sell Greenland to the US or it leaves NATO. Get money for an ice island or spend decades going into unimaginable debt to increase defense 100x.

When Trump says he's the 'deal maker', he's always left out the part, '...that you can't refuse'. He's always wanted to pull out of NATO. This is just the pretext he decided on in order to justify it. The SCOTUS will shut him down, and the US Military knows it would be following illegal orders if it were to be ordered to take Greenland by force. Not a bet, but I don't think they would comply with his nonsense this time. Regardless, he's going to try something before the midterms (his lame duck beginning). Europe will be forced to oblige him pulling out of NATO - they've been expecting this for some time. What he's not considering is he's going to have his hands more than full with China soon, whether he likes it or not.

This have to be repeated time and time again, until everyone understand it.

1: an empire is NOT run based on 4 year turns, that would be ludicrous, even small corporations cant run successfully unless there is long term vision and consistency in that regard ("who said they are successful?" well it depends on how you analyze their objective and motives)

2: I am not saying a president don't have agency, but he is surrounded by advisors, these advisors present him with option A and B, both roads eventually lead to Rome.

3: The deep state are not some boogey man, its first and foremost, donors and bankers, they are interchangeably the same, donors run business which the bankers have borrowed them credit to run and the bankers basically control the money supply(this is different from the FED treasury), than you have permanent employees of the state, those stay who ever is in power.(Example the FED treasury)

4: When a president builds a cabinet, advisors and other power positions, this is all pre-planned by his donors and bankers, who also ran his campaign, marketing and funded it all. Pre planned as in agreed, if we will work to make you president you will put those into x positions.

Orange man is a perfect tool, because he is very stupid, gnorant and easy to impress, his ego is massive and its easy to manipulate and stroke such personality.

Now imagine you have ran this game 10-20-30 times, you get to be more effective and most importantly, you have placed all the people you need into power positions, what is left is the cosmetic of things.

When you read about Murika in 200-300 years, it will sound democratic and wonderful, but in reality, the power have been centralized over time, not by Bush or Obama or Biden, but by the system - A president can go to war without congressional approval, this was enacted in 2001 after 9/11(correct me if I am wrong on this) congress role currently is just cosmetic, to give the illusion of check and balances, democracy and all these empty slogans.

I can't see any way even Trump & Co could get the US public & lawmakers to agree to military action to achieve his ambition. If however he does chose to do so there is bugger all that Greenland, Denmark or Europe in general can do anything to stop him.
All "reasonable" people would agree that the choice should be that of the Greenlanders. It seems overwhelmingly they wish for independence - but for an island of 57,000 what does that mean - there's no way alone they can be truly independent.
I'm a bit of a tree hugger & would hate to see another piece of uspoilt land devistated, so from that point of view seeing Greenland become a massive quarry under US ownership would be a disaster. But economically there can't be any doubt that Greenlanders of today would be better off with US control than Danish control - but I shudder to think what that might mean for future children of Greenlanders growing up.
