Rubio says he will meet with Denmark about Greenland next week
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday that he will meet with officials from Denmark next week about Greenland. Rubio’s comments on Capitol Hill came as the Trump administration has amped up its rhetoric about taking over Greenland, which is a self-governing territory of Denmark. Rubio was asked by a reporter if he would take the option of the U.S. military being used to take over Greenland off the table. “I’m not here to talk about Denmark or military intervention,” Rubio said. “I’ll be meeting with them next week.” “We’ll have conversations with them then, but I’m not adding things ... It was the reward for working hard, and doing the right thing, but now, because of the Record High Inflation caused by Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress, that American Dream is increasingly out of reach for far too many people, especially younger Americans. It is for that reason, and much more, that I am immediately taking steps to ban large institutional investors from buying more single-family homes, and I will be calling on Congress to codify it. People live in homes, not corporations. I will discuss this topic, including further Housing and Affordability proposals, and more, at my speech in Davos in two weeks.
