They really don’t want to cut in December, much better to pause in their opinion, so they are trying to talk the market down for a chance of a cut.

But until we get all the government data we are waiting for, nothing means anything. Probabilities, speeches, etc. will not matter if the data shows a clear path for interest rates. We don’t really know how well the economy, inflation, and jobs are doing, we are just guessing right now.

Might be why we are pulling back a little today, currently our 6750-6760 is support in the SPX, but the important point is last week’s close, they can’t let it close below that tomorrow. Next leg down or big pop up coming soon from this inflection point,

Fed is cornered in stagflation. Cuting rates will not solve the labour market because the problem can't be solved with rate lowering. Probably the Fed will hold rates because inflation is still high and sticky, specially in services.

Fed cheerleaders. If the fed worked quietly behind the scenes they would have no effect. Their only tool is blabbering.
