German production in August 2025: -4.3% compared to the previous month
According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by 4.3% in August 2025 compared to July 2025, seasonally and calendar-adjusted. In a less volatile three-month comparison, production from June 2025 to August 2025 was 1.3% lower than in the previous three months. The preliminary result for July 2025 was confirmed (+1.3% compared to the previous month). Compared to August 2024 of the previous year, production in August 2025 was 3.9% lower, calendar-adjusted.
