In August 2025*, France's trade balance improved (+€0.3 billion) to -€5.8 billion. Over the month, exports increased by €0.3 billion to €51.8 billion. Imports were stable at €57.6 billion. The energy balance improved (+€0.2 billion) due to the combined effect of an increase in exports and a decrease in imports. The non-energy balance was stable. The balance of capital goods increased slightly (+€0.1 billion).
