Whoever collates these figures should be fired . A margin of error is acceptable when dealing with statistics , this however is on a whole different scale .

I used to think the Biden era data was suspect , today’s data is a real clanger .

Hahaha sure, 2 dissenters when everyone thought the labor market was strong and stable, imagine how many with the real figures.

Just look at equities, potential rate cuts being completely overshadowed by the realization that the labor market is much worse than thought (tariff announcements don't help but not main driver imo). GDP is being pinned up by mechanical factors that will dissipate.

For the Fed/trader/asset markets, today's economy is very different from yesterday's.
