    Good afternoon. I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to visit Iceland, and this conference is a wonderful reason to be here. I would like to thank Governor Jónsson for the invitation. We are experiencing a moment of great uncertainty and change. I’d like to take this time to step back and revisit the lessons of the past several decades of monetary policy under uncertainty, a topic I have devoted most of my career to as a researcher and policymaker. FOMC arrange for some 8-10 differnt members breathing their unclear and fluffy statements around interest rate status and related view on the Economy. Views that most of you allready know. In other words - no new info and muddying the water even more. If Donald Gump want to reduce some of FOMC influence an cut cost, ref his his love relationship to Jerome Powell, he could cut down of these time wasting disturbing signals speaches and statements.
This is "so Yanks" (lots of talk - no walk), and unnecessary, and almost the same as the Congress and Senate with some 535 members do. We know is is consisting of millionaires and billionaires with no contact to middle class. They are also very good at wasting time to all involved, doing nothing other than meet a few times during the year, to hug, tap shoulders, and appraise each other (lick butts). But for those that saw the light after the long list of FOMC members speaches today, I will rest my case....
