Notice the High signal on the 8 Hour timeframe in my previous post - signal (4) generated today at 8:00 on 12/23/2016.

This latest signal indicates the Long market on the 8 Hour timeframe which started with the Low signal generated by the FIA at 8:00 on 12/20/2016, signal (3) above (also see Post #1,321 above), is complete.


The 8 Hour market is now ready to start a Short market cycle (i.e. Short market cycle = Supply market cycle = increase Supply).

The 8 Hour timeframe is in sync with the Short market cycle indicated by the High signal on the Day timeframe on the same chart which was generated on 12/20/2016.

Yesterday, on the 8 Hour, the FIA generated a new Low signal at 16:00 on 12/26/2016 indicating the following:

(1) the end of the 8 Hour Short market cycle signaled by the FIA at 8:00 on 12/23/2016 (see Post #1,327 above), and


(2) the beginning of a new Long market cycle as per the Low signal indicated on the 8 Hour chart in my previous post.


Note that the beginning of this new 8 Hour Long market cycle indicates a continuation of the 8 Hour Long market cycle which began at 8:00 on 12/20/2016 (see Low signal (1) on 8 Hour chart above).

Hi Jack, so if we placed a limit buy at 1133.32 with a sl slightly below 1132.58, would it be reasonable to target the short level on daily at 1138.72?

That certainly would be a valid option, however, here are 2 other options you may also want to consider to set your target take profit given the other signals which you also see on the chart above:

(1) set your target as per the technical levels of the last signal that was breached on the 8 Hour timeframe which in this case was at or near 1150.99 (i.e. Long level of last Low signal that was breached on this timeframe), or


(2) wait for next High signal on the 8 Hour timeframe.


Option 2 being my preferred strategy which also happens to be the most profitable one.

Hi Jack. I've moved up my buy order at most recent H8 low of 12/28 at 16:00, since the previous limit order was not touched. Daily is in a long cycle.

The 8 Hour has been in a Long market cycle since it has breached it's last High signal (see Post #1,327 above).

Similarly, the Day has been in a Long market cycle since it has breached it last High signal (see Post #1,329 above).

When the market breaches a Low signal, the Low becomes a High and when the market breaches a High signal, the High becomes a Low.

This is very much similar to the more traditional technical analysis based on support and resistance. When the market breaches a support, it becomes a resistance and when the market breaches a resistance it becomes a support.

Having said that, when the market breaches a High (i.e. market closes above the RED line which is the Short level), you may use the Short value (indicated by the RED line) for your Long entry and the Long value (indicated by the BLUE line) for your Stop Loss.

In our example, using this rule, when the market breached the High signal on the 8 Hour timeframe (see Post #1,329 above), you would have entered a pending order Long @1135.72 with a Stop Loss @1133.48 (or slightly lower) instead of attempting your entry on the Low signal indicated in the same Post.

Had you chosen to use the Day timeframe, you would have entered a pending Long @1138.71 with a Stop Loss @1134.45 (or slightly lower).

As for your current pending order Long, we have a new Low signal on the Day. We need to wait for the FIA to confirm the technical levels before we enter a pending order.
