I can not find the indicator I would like. I am looking for a 4 time frame bar indicators ( bars below the chart) for VoltyChannel 2.1

Hello;

I hope this thread doesn't mind a general question about EA's. I am only just beginning to give them a look see.

I can't figure out something about expert advisers and magic numbers. Lets say I have downloaded a simple moving average cross EA that opens and closes positions. The EA's first input is it's magic number.

When I load the EA, what happens next? Do I have to place the EA on every pair and on every time frame, with a different magic number for each pair and each time frame?

Can an EA be saved as part of a template and applied to multiple charts and time frames with the same magic number?

The more I read about magic numbers ea's ,the more confused I get. I'm hoping someone will make it all really simple for me.
Any help would be appreciated.

MAgic number is used to distinguish between order that make by other EA.

If 1 EA have magic number 8888, and you have other EA with magic number 9999, both EA will working side by side and not touch others order made by other EA (Which not his magic number).

If 2 EA in different chart with same magic number, each EA will have control on the trade.
So magic number is a tag for EA to know that the trade is belong to the EA to be control.

hi, dear coder
kindly code this ind. i would like to see the text price and the percent on the lines
all lines appears in all frames even i select one or tow frames hope it can be fixed
if possible i want the line start from the the selected candle to the right side of the chart not cross all the chart
the att. shows blue area i want it to disappeared

I altered this indicator back in 2007 and have checked it on MT4 build 910 and it appears to work alright even though it is the old MT4 code, you must have the VoltyChannel Stop v2.1 indicator in your indicator folder for this to work.

I have an idea for a trend-continuation scalping EA. The rules are simple:

When price is above 200 EMA, BUY when price closes above 8 EMA after crossing from below.

When price is below 200 EMA, SELL when price closes below 8 EMA after crossing from above.

TF: 5-min chart

SL/TP: 3 pips (1-to-1 R/R)

... Certainly open to any ideas/improvements.

I have an idea that I think is solid: based on bank manipulation points very simple too, be interesting to see how good ea would be on it...... Okay so first criteria m5 charts. Wick detected , greater than ten pips. Or ten pips . At close of ten pip wick bar , enter opposite direction . To the spike.

The only secondary parameter. To help with some kind of over bought over sold feel, is : rsi must be also above 60 , or below 40 to take opposing direction.
Simple entry criteria. Then use twenty pip stop loss , and ten pip trailer. That's it. Only really applicable to eur use might work for others. Please code it would be great to see. Even just a ten pip wick alert indicator with those rsi parameters would be interesting

Hi,

I have a very weird request. Basically I need an indicator that reports the slope of upper or lower Bollinger Band from current candle to -1 back and current to -2 back.
The data would ideally be in the mt4 data window so I can use the data in my other calculations to assist in detecting powerful trends.
So in total that's 4 values.
a. upper -1
b. upper -2
c. lower -1
d. lower -2
So if the slope is really really steep upwards strong upwards trend and if the slope is really steep downwards we have strong down trend.
So again it's just the four slope data above that need to be reported. I think it's simple yeah? And is it good idea? From my experience it can assist in trend detection.
I have no idea how to code so I thought why not share this idea and any indicator code for this would be much appreciated! And it will help me learn.

i solved my problem with the counter, i was doing a global declaration which messed it up.

I click add custom indicator Hide Current Bar v1 and just nothing happened

Can anybody please write an EA with functionality like
1) to close all trades (pending and existing) immediately if a certain profit is achieved (>= x) or a certain loss is reached (<= y)
2) (if at all possible) AND turn off AUTO TRADING (should come as an option).
