I have a number of other indicator ideas for predicting the next move up/down in a currency pair, aside from the tick volume divergence idea I posted earlier. I'd be happy to post the logic for them along with pics of how I picture them looking, if anyone would be willing to code and share them here. This thread is awesome. Thx to all the coders helping the rest of us MQL4 'N00bs' out.

your indicator prints a signal when a bar closes and the ea takes the trade when the signal prints. otherwise if i changed the indi to print on a current bar, it would have several repainting false signals on that bar, giving the ea several trades on the same bar. you could limit the ea to only take one trade per bar, but it would take trades on any signal including the false signals that would have repainted. taking the trades after the bar and indi print is as good as it gets here. that being said i will make the EA for you to where you can change from a closed candle or current candle. but, i highly recommend taking trades on the closed candles as you would be trading far less false signals. i need the mq4 file for the asc trend indi that the the EA's are calling for..

Once again thank you very much Lesso,
you are right about multi trade per candle, but the indicator, has manage this itself by being programmed to open on trade per candle,
please do continue in making the ea open trade on the signal bar, and also in the trade management as to increasing and decreasing lot size as account balance.
for explain, i my balance was 100,000 at 1.00 lot, and balnce becomes 102,000, lot should increase to 1.02 as balance increase lot increase and balance reduce lot also should reduce, here are the files both ea would request for.

I have a proposal for an even better SILVERTREND.
As you may see on the attached chart, the signals (end of bar) are better than with your indicator. My version is in 2 differernt styles, I add the one which is placed on the price.
And I must add that the results are best on the 4 H charts!
I would appreciate if this indi could be implemented in an EA.

Dear coders,

could somebody please wip up a simple EA so i can prove to someone that a strategy is a fail. All it has to do is open a buy and a sell at a new candle open, with TP and SL, possible Trail options...no indicators or anything else, plain price action. I had something like this in my database a looong time ago, but even if i can find it, it probably wont work with new MT versions.

here are two of them....i couldnt get either to work on strat tester though.
a better coder than me should look under the hood and see what is going on, maybe.

i tried to get it to work in this EA, but it doesnt seem to initialize. a better coder than I may take an interest though.

the normal aarows is the indicator of post 8909.
The arrows with rectangle are the hand placed arrows from my rewritten silvertrend (the better one) as of post 8910.

Thank you very much for your time in recoding this EA Lesso,
But you missed out to important settings,
First ASC has two settings, the risk and countbar settings
and secondly, you had skipped the the lot size option.

I can not duplicate your problem as it loads on every chart I have tried, however it could possibly be that it needs to be compiled on a later build so here is the indicator compiled on MT4 build 840.

The EA seems to take trades while the CCI bar is forming, so it ends up taking about 30-40 trades per session instead of 10 or so. Is there a way for you to make it so that it only takes trades based on the close of the CCI bar?

Here is the file if anyone would be willing to help. The EA takes trades as the bar is forming, I need it to take trades only based on when the bar is closed. I.E. the trade should be opened at the start of the next bar based on how the bar before it closed. Closing and opening trades should only happen once the bar is closed, for a 5 Min TF, trades only every 5 mins, etc. If the previous bar closed red, it should sell, and close that trade only once a green bar has CLOSED, and then open up a buy and vice versa.

Hi all,

I am looking for two scripts ( or an EA ) which would help me do the following.

When I drop the sell script on any chart of any time frame, it should place 2 sell stop orders based on the last closed candle of the respective given time frame to which it is attached. The stop loss for both the orders would be the total length of the candle including wicks. One of the orders should have a take profit which is equal to the total height of the candle including the wicks. The other order would be without take profit.
So in effect, if i place this script on a one hour chart, it should place sell stop order and the stop loss would be the length of the last one hour closed candle including the wicks. The take profit for one order would be again the length of the last closed candle. The other order would be without a take profit level. If I place the same script of a daily candle, the stop loss levels and take profit level would be based on the last daily closed candle.

Similarly for buy script. It should place 2 buy stop order based on the last closed candle of the respective given time frame to which it is attached. I am attaching two scripts below. These scripts work PARTIALLY similar to the script to what i desire. The one problem is, this places orders based on the last ONE HOUR CLOSED CANDLE ONLY ON ALL TIME FRAMES IRRESPECTIVE OF THE TIME FRAME TO WHICH IT IS ATTACHED. So when I attach this script to a 15 Minute time frame, the stop loss and take profit level is of the last closed one hour candle, but what I desire is the stop loss and take profit should be of the last 15M closed candle since I have attached the script to the 15M time frame.

cja sorry to bother again ..may be i am so.....1st i open eu sd and drag indi ..ok but when i change pair gbp indi is not showing level though indi is still there ..see img ..any idea /tips ..thanks

cja sir....indicator showed after delete all object but after chage pair problem occuer another img for 5 dig broker and diff pair.it will be great if level and fibo by default showed just last hi to lo or lo to hi at any tf any pair

i have request to all great coder of this threads ..if any one inerested to see it and make it ..actually i collect it from net and it interested me lot .i need a dash board which is check Tf 1h/4h/d....shows pair above/bellow 200 sma(like above/below under water) and may be give green/red arow or right /cross sign example euro usd above 200 sma mean euro green arow/right sign and usd red arow/cross sign .i am giving all words by original auther bellow for better understand :

Here’s what has worked for me…
I use a 4 hour chart with a 200 SMA on it. On a sheet of paper, a legal pad or an Excel spreadsheet, I list the currencies (not the pairs but the currencies themselves) in a vertical column. For example, EUR, USD, CHF, etc.
Now, let’s say the pair in question on the 4 hour chart is the EURUSD. If it is trading above the 200 SMA that means that the EUR is stronger than the USD at that point in time. I make a note of that next to the EUR and the USD in the vertical column…EUR gets an up arrow and the USD gets a down arrow. Then I go to the next currency and go through the same process. (All in all I bring up about 28 pairs on the charts each day before the open of the New York session and it takes less than 15 minutes.)
When I am done with the above process, I tally all the “up arrows ” and “down arrows” (as you can tell, I am VERY high tech!) for the EUR against the other currencies and then I can tell where the EUR ranks strength-wise relative to each of them. For example, if the EUR has 5 up arrows and 2 down arrows and the JPY has 3 up arrows and 4 down arrows, that means that the EUR, overall, is stronger than the JPY. (It doesn’t get much more simple than that!) When I have all the currencies in which I am interested evaluated in this way, I then have an overview of how they all relate to each other based on strength/weakness.
Next, I match the strongest with the weakest and go to the charts and look for a technical reason, such as a break of support or resistance, to enter the trade in the direction of the trend. A pair that has a strong currency paired against a weak currency would be a candidate for a buy in a Daily uptrend. On the other hand, a weak paired against a strong would be a candidate for a sell in a Daily downtrend.
As far as the pairs that I personally look at, I run this analysis on all combinations of the following currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, NZD, CHF and CAD.
The process is very basic, straightforward and quite boring – but it works.
As a side benefit, while I am going through the process of checking the 4 hour chart on each pair, I really get a sense for what is going on in the market at the time. And that information serves me well as the trading day progresses.
Sidebar: If you are a shorter term trader, you can follow exactly the same process on a shorter time frame chart.
