Hi fxdaytrader,

How are you?

Is it possible to make a minor modification to the ss support resistance indicator you worked on recently?

Basically if you could shift the rectangles over to the right a few bars so that the current candles are visible.

That would really help...

Well thanks for that.
What I have observed is that every time the Price is crossing the specific trendline in lets say 1 hour the alerter goes on.
To prevent this I think the logic have to change a bit :
1. the possibility to name the specific Timeframe that is decisive in the Indicator-window

2. the alerter can only act in the first 1 minute of an hour

or

3. when the last 1 hour -Candle has closed at the opposite side of the Trendline

I would appreciated if you could have a further look inside the logic of the indi.
Please let me know if you need some pics to concretize my need for the indi.

external parameter timeframe added (TrendlineAlert mod.).
It should make sure that an alert only occurs max. 1 time per bar in the specified timeframe.

the check for cross logic (lines 111/112) is:
if (iClose(NULL,0,shift)<price AND iHigh(NULL,0,shift)>=price) SHORT CROSS
(close of signalcandle < trendline AND high of signalcansle >= trendline)

if (iClose(NULL,0,shift)>price AND iLow(NULL,0,shift)<=price) LONG CROSS
(close of signalcandle > trendline AND high of signalcansle <= trendline)

if you would like you can change that (e.g. iLow and iHigh to iOpen for the opening of the candle etc.).
if you make changes you might have to compile the indicator with the build 509 mql4editor ...

hm, you can also use the linetrader EA also, it deactivates the lines after hit.
if you set open_orders=false it will not open trades, but can give alert etc.

hi everyone,

Could somebody modify attached indicator. currently one can put min length (MinRange) of bars to mark on chart, what I need is the possibility to put max length (MaxRange) too.
For example, I'd like to find every bar only with length between min 25 pip and max 50 pip (not less than 25 and not more than 50).
Second thing I need is to show (true/false) on chart how many bars between 25 and 50 there are of the last n bars.

I surely hope your health is okay and am very thankful you are back.

Like you said you came back in time with the new MT v600. It seems like some of the more popular indicators were working and now all of a sudden have stopped.
When I run the original files they come up with errors.


If there any way I can get the mql version to work for the new v600? I would greatly appreciate if you can take a look at the code and see what needs to be fixed. Anything would help.

you need to download the old build 509 metaeditor, then you can compile indicators/eas/scripts by yourself

Dear fxdaytrader

Thank you from your prompt response. I actually got it from the web, I don't have the original code. It's an MA cross indicator but with some formula. I understand the fact that you won't touch a decompiled code. If I could at least benefit from your help from configuring the attached MA crossover indicator to match that formula.
P.S: I don't know if it's a decompiled code also but I downloaded it for free from the web and modified it for alerts.

Okay great. I think I hit compile in the v600 by accident and saw there were errors which caused it to stop working. Than I tried the other indicators, and the same thing happened.

I guess I shouldn't compile the mql files in the v600 as it may update the ex file and cause it to stop working. Okay I'll grab these ex4 filee that were compiled in a previous build and hope that it works. Thanks again soo soo much.

There are parameters for alerts. The indicator seems to write arrows and give alerts when 2 moving average cross.

That's correct. This is working perfectly but if you look at the code I posted at first, you can see the difference. Does this formula mentioned in the code means they are EMAs or SMAs or etc. That's what I'm trying t figure out. It's ok if you don't want to work with the code posted at first but could you at least tell me what I did wrong? The Pop up alerts functions are working, but the lines after that, I was the one to add them, I only need to know why they're not working (Email, push, Sound). What did I do wrong?

But you say the Alertpopup was working.
Then you can easy modify:

find the line with the alert()-command (search for Alert( or Alert ( in the code), most it is like

To modify just add the other options below:

But now I can't enable push/email/sound each on its own. My last question is what to add here to be able to control each on its own (highlight it please). Taking in consideration that I have added extern bool for email and push and sound.

P.S: I'm actually enjoying what I'm learning. Don't take the idea that I'm seeking an ex4 for example.
