Hi,

Here is a scratch, just with entries. But please confirm few things:
Exit: when fisher change colour
Stop loss: in long down the bollinger_bands, in short above bollinger_bands.

1. For exit, use only fisher color change, no Take Profit? what if MT4 is closed, or connection is lost?
2. Entry fine tuning? Open position only when 1. color is changed and fisher is changed OR 2. Open position if colors and fisher are already changed for a longer time: For example, when you open MT4, and all conditions are fine to open position, should expert open position or not?
3. Exit when fisher change color or when goes below/above 0? Because Fisher can be red even above 0.

Can anyone take a look at the attached EA. I am not a coder and I am sure you can tell by looking at this. I am trying my hardest. The attached EA closes all trades based on Profit an Account Reaches. For example $300, etc. Can anyone help me code it so that it closes all positions once each position has reached a certain amount of pips. I still need to code in the set amount of hours a trade can be opened based on the time the order was opened, not a certain time of the day. I have worked all day on this, and just need some help before I can start the next process. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes. If there are 3 positions they should close after each one has reached 20 pips, or whatever the amount of pips is setup as. (MinProfitForMaxHourPositions) Then I will need it to be coded to do the above statement after a set amount of hours after the position is opened. (MinProfitForMaxHourPositions) If anyone can help that would be great.

It just blows my mind no one has tweaked grid EAs to do this. At least not one I can find. If its out there, someones not willing to share it

I won't be willing to share it either, except with whoever makes the following changes for me!


Anyone here have experience with coding grids?


What I need is a seperate customization for each subsequent grid level. Should look like this.

#1 - 10 pip

#2 - 20 pip

#3 - 40 pip

#4 - 80 pip

#5 - 160 pip

But of course each should be able to be tweaked (i dont want it to double each time, I want to be able to set custom values for each grid level, maybe like 7, 15, 25, 45, 75 whatever it may be... needs the option to be customized.

And about 20 tweakable grid levels would be nice (not just 5 like in the example)


If you can get that code working, can you try and make it so I can change the lot multiplier (or step amount if I choose not to use a multiplier) for each new grid level?

For example, for #1, it could be something like 1.05 multiplier. Then for the 2nd grid level, 1.10 multiplier, Then for the 3rd, 1.20..


See what I mean?



I will send you the original code (which is very good I might add) and hopefully you can make the changes.



I have a grid that can do 5% a month but it sometimes has equity draw downs of 10%. If the previous changes listed can be made to the grid, it will be able to perform with that same profit level, but with a significantly less amount of draw down in the scenarios when it has to make 5+ grid entries.

Why? Because most of the profit comes from vanilla trades, not the grid trades.


The point of a grid is auto profit without a chance of it being able to blow up the account.


You can easily make 10% a year with a SAFE (no chance of blown account) grid EA (far more than any bond will pay).

But I'm trying to get 50%+ out of this one.
Be hopeful in a winning position, and fearful in a losing position.

One thing is not clear. You will have more positions opened in different times?
I mean, you will have some positions opened 5 hours ago, some positions 14 hours ago?

And you want to close positions opened 14 hours ago only, if they are all for example above 20 pips?

Each position will have a maximum time of let's say 7 hours. If I open another position 20 mins later or 3 hours later that will also have a maximum of 7 hours. I don't want to code each individual trade and have separate time for each one as this will get too complicated right now. After 7 hours all the positions that are to the set amount of pips (20 pips) will close. The ones that have not reached the set amount of pips will trade until the set amount is reached then automatically closes. The 2 parameters which I should be able to change is amount if pips before automatically closing, and amount of hours a trade can remain open before the rules apply. If he TP hits before the 7 hours then the position will close of course. Is this clear? Sorry if I complicating it. Let me know if I can do anything to help. The EA should go on any chart and close any currency as long as the rules apply.

So the position I opened and the position I opened 3 hours later will both close at different times. 7 hours from when they were opened. ;-)

Try this, you can set pip limit and hours limit and magic number, if position is above of both limits, you will see a message in Experts log, with position ticket number like:

"2013.02.27 23:28:26piplimit-close EURUSD,M1: Position 83440929 should be closed! "

If you get this message for the right positions, let me know, and we can modify to EA, to close the positions not only print message.
This EA will not close/open positions just print message in log.

Ok, I forget to mention, if you test it on 5 decimal borker you need to put an extra 0 for pip limit, like 100 for 10 pips or 200 for 20 pips.
It's not optimized yet for 5 decimal.

Quick question. I haven't had a chance to see the EA yet, only will be able to tonight. What setting do I have to put for the Magic Number so that it trades all trades manually and ones executed by EA. Should I leave it blank or type in 99999? Thanks again.

strategy tester doesnot work as well, it gives a lot of:

I made some minor changes, EA will print error number in experts log if, if EA tries to open position but there is an error.
