How the patterns have played out so far. Euro has played out as forecast. It looks like I drew the zig zag on the pound a little loose. It follows the forecast overall but not quite how I drew the zig zag originally.

I haven't dialed it in yet, but one of the things I've been experimenting with forecasting price with the cycle. When it's on, it's almost spot on. It involves scaling the chart and the forecast. Below is the same euro forecast but scaled. Pretty spot on for the mos recent turns in both price and time.

The scaling applied to the pound forecast. Kinda close. But not quite there. I could probably change the component cycles to dial it in a little closer.

you have really a crystall ball ;-)
On EURUSD so far it respects very good the forecast. Can you post again the EURUSD scaled but the timeframe below?
One of these days you should give at least some hints to what's we should looking for .
If you can prove in time that this forecast is really working , you can be acandidate for the Nobel Price

Given the constraints of MQL4, do you think that it is possible to do what you do with your forecasting in Metatrader?

It works in time almost perfect. Just not quite on price. The overall highs/lows usually come in at the general area, but things like double tops/bottoms might be off on the time a tad or sometimes the forecast shows a double top/bottom but the high/low will be exactly between them. Still, on a 2 min. chart that might only be a 10 min. window of error. Pretty good given that the forecast can be made hours/days/weeks/years in advance.

Yeah, but I probably won't bother anytime soon since wave59 does exactly what I need in terms of chart scaling, system testing, and multiple axis.

the potential is great. the cycles.

but one thing a time trader (from what i learnt from my mistakes) is not too just trade the time and hope pirce turns at time with no regard to price analysis.


how would u know price targets JR?

I missed that part. haha. Umm.. no. I don't think it's Nobel Prize worthy. If I were to get this dialed in 100%, I'd do the opposite. Disappear. Either on my own or from the "men in black".

There was a guy that nominated himself for the Nobel Prize because he thought he discovered the "secret" of market movement. His theory is based on lunar cycles and tidal data. Robert Taylor. His books is called The Paradigm. He tried writing a novel to "show" the stuff at work ala Tunnel Through the Air. I read the first 1/3 of it and couldn't continue because it moved too damn slow. I did correspond with a few peeps that had read the whole thing and I built and indicator using tidal data, but it wasn't anything more useful than any other cycle forecasting methods out there.

how would u know price targets JR?
There are so many other ways to choose price targets that are effective. Pivots, fibs, sq9, gann shit, ephemeris pricing, blah blah blah. That's why I haven't focused too much on price because there are already so many ways to plot price projections quickly and easily in any charting platform.

What I have noticed as far as my forecast hitting the price targets is that it involves phasing of the individual components that make up the composite. So that's where it gets messy. So I plot the forecast and get the general idea for time and then use whatever price forecast method I feel like that day. If price is following the time forecast and happens to be following the wavy line in terms of price, yay. bonus. But I'm not putting too much faith in it right now until I get it dialed to be correct more than 60% of the time.

If I ever figure out how you do it, I'll give it a go...now scalable charts, that would be nice Spent a while setting up Excel to do that a while back using one of Peltier's codes (excel guru) After coding it all up it didn't work - some kind of obscure Excel bug with no fix... I have even considered using my CAD software, but that would be very time consuming.

Going back a few posts, your square with 84 units of price time - if I calculated correctly, you used 302 bars/360.03 points = 0.8388 Presumably you rounded up and then multiplied? If so, any reason in particular to multiply up to 84?

Peltier is great! I used that site quite a bit about 7-8 years ago when I built a huge charting and trading system in Excel. I had automatic scaling charts, but it wasn't price-time scaling. Just automatic scaling to the max/min price range plus buffer.


The 84 units thing is based on squaring the range. I didn't purposely use the number 84. That's just the byproduct of my resolving trading bars to units of price-time.

5 min. Euro was pretty accurate most of the day. Inverts towards the end there.

I made tweaks and added another level of resolution. On the 1 min. chart it's pretty wiggly, but followed pretty close. I highlighted the most recent inversion section.

Possible inversion points are actually pretty easy to spot once you know what to look for. By knowing what components make up the composite, it's just a matter of isolating that component length and 1/2 length.

Same chart and same cycle settings, but on a 10 min. chart. This is an example of the fractal nature of price/time. The cycle lines are exactly the same as the 1 min. But since it's a longer time frame, the cycle line is basically stretched out and smoothed.

hey JR ... i got a sneek peak on wave 59. and is something ure doing liek a neural net cycle ?

but i cant get myself around it .. i tried using mt4 ascii data but that didnt work. anyways it looks real cool. almost like a higher class sort of tools for a time trader.

are u using a pattern builder?

just wondering. no u dont have to tell me what is within the formulas and all that .. ur original stuff and i respect it being yours

shit, if it helps you guys make trades like this accurately one 1 min chart. I will take it, trade for the three of us and then spend the rest of the 23 hours in the day with my wife. Well, I woul stop into the forum for another 15M just to tell you what we will be doing after lunch. At least the "G" rated stuff. You can use your imaginations for the rest!!!

bumpa, the stuff I'm doing in wave59 is all custom scripting not included with the software. With wave59 you can plot multiple axis stuff in the same chart area which is why I'm using it. I really don't use most of the other stuff although it does have a lot of astro capabilities and a sweet sq9 tool that I never use since Gannzilla is better, imho.

I've done work with neural nets in the past and they're really not good for much other than slightly optimizing indicators like ma's or oscillators. You can take out quite a bit of lag with a neural net on standard indicators.
