Dislikedwell two things i guess... investors/traders are just too pessimistic of the U.S. economy and gold is not just a safe haven right now... it's also a very good investment.
also i'm thinking that they don't have to protect their investments since they already liquidated their earnings during the previous day. the bounce back up to 1660 happened mostly during the asian market where they found 1640 as a gold bargainIgnored

I'd say the long term trend is up, but 1400 seems likely before 1800. The last time the 50EMA was below the 200EMA was in early 2009 at $850... It's gonna cool off. I would wait for divergence between two peaks, which there is presently on the daily. This is actually a perfect time to begin looking to short it, depending if the peak high holds up (it could keep going up for a bit depending on how panic stricken people get over the S&P). The deep red line shows MACD divergence, so it is nigh guaranteed price is going to...Ignored
