Real talk.
But for me the SL is all about perspective.
It’s not just about accepting losses or giving the market space.
If I look at it that way, deep down I’ll never truly accept losing anything.

For me the SL is simply the cost of the idea.
I put it in a place that proves my prediction wrong.
If it gets hit, that’s the price I’m willing to pay for being wrong.
Not fear, not panic, just the cost of invalidation.

Maybe it’s just my style and maybe I’m blinded by it, but once that perspective shifts, everything changes.
No panic, no hesitation.

meh gold has been difficult lately, not much profits i can brag about on gold lately, so today i instead traded stocks, and finishing the day with roughly 100 dollars profit, but uyea im gonna stay away from gold for a while now seeing how the markets are behaving.

Some of this sounds like cope bro.

If you're losing 7 trades in a day then either you're not trading a proper strategy or you're strategy isn't built for this regime.

Don't trick yourself into thinking this trading behaviour is just 'part of the process'.

it was very good setup at 4089 as OB of main swing high of the day was at 4092/4093 that was my sniper entry sadly never got there. And market closing soon current situation holding is risky as hell currently. For me the LHR was just more scalp and wrote it at 4086 and fell a bit by then which was just risky for me anyways $5 tops stop! The push earlier I needed a 3$ stop had a 2$ stop

This is not advice, but it's simply a reminder to myself. It's something that can happen to me, or may happen to other traders.

IMHO. In trading, we need to master a method that suits our own personality and style. We must use it as our personality SOP and remain disciplined in following it. As long as our SOP has not met all of our entry criteria, don't ever try to create false assumptions or force a trade. Yup, we are in the thread of discussion; we can easily be influenced by the assumptions or analyses of other traders. Sometimes, those influences cause us to drift away from our own trading method.

It happens to me as well. I sometimes have to ignore other traders' analyses and focus on my own. I'm always used to words; I don't care what people say. If others' analyses genuinely add value, I will consider them as supplementary input.

If we ever feel lost, we're not alone. We are only human, and making mistakes is part of the trading journey. If we ask others, they also admit to their own dark side. The real question is: we already make mistakes. In the future, are we going to repeat it? Every mistake carries a lesson. If we are willing to learn from it, it will become something valuable for the future.

This is prolly about 70-75% win rate but if your'e not used to it go back and check every fomc this year to get a feel

I checked the last 4 FOMC, one 1 out of the 4 caused massive movement, the other 3 not much happened

In a sense, you can see a resemblance between today Monday and the Monday of the week when we had the Fed meeting.
