Whether gold goes to 2000 or 10000 how does it really affect us? I dont understand why so many traders keep talking about extremely high or low prices when most of them are only doing scalping for a few pips. There is no point discussing huge targets if your actual target is only 50 to 100 pips.
Many traders like me make or lose money in 10-12 trades lol while a patient and smart trader can achieve the same result in just one good trade because trading mainly needs patience. You should know your targets and understand the trend.
Its funny when gold drops everyone starts talking about sell sell and record lows and when it goes up they suddenly start talking about record highs. The market watches all this and loves trapping people who change their direction every few minutes.
Just remember one thing that gold always shines. First study what gold really is and understand the reasons why it moves up and down. In the end gold is meant to go higher over time the rest is up to your own study and understanding.
Dont forget i am also just a small trader like you guys so dont take too much tension lol

Just to comment on all the above...

The "Black Hole" of Technical Analysis is just that, as Mr. Douglas articulates in "Trading In The Zone."
And as Mr. Brooks says so clearly, your account balance is a direct and totally accurate reflection of your progress, and what you need to do better.

Nobody knows what is going to happen next. Any number of unpredictable macro events could unfold at any time.

$XAU likely WILL touch extremes in both directions, but the timing of this is 100% unknown.

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF HOLDING LOSING POSITIONS or NOT SETTING A STOP LOSS
This is the biggest mistake you can make, digging your heels in, getting emotional, kicking your computer.

It is 100% you making all of the decisions here nobody else not the market not your computer not your broker.

Personally the thing I love most about trading is you are 100% in control.
There are very few things in life you are directly in control of.

So enjoy people & never blame the market it's always you look in the mirror!

5400 is only pre war levels. go look at the price on 28 feb 2026 when the attacks began.
