First of all, sincere thanks for your journal with beautiful chart analysis.

Here's my take on the long term situation: Stuck in a range, volatility at a long time low. Could mean that a breakout upwards is imminent, or that the sideways grind goes on for a while longer. 2h chart.

Breakout may be imminent. The very strong move up early this morning is promising. 5m chart.

EDIT: Bought the breakout.

EDIT 2: Out at breakeven, as breakout failed.

Hi Medici.
Thanks for responding, the Long Trade I was looking for from around the same area Failed to Trigger.
Looks like Price is continuing to Range and the Institutions continue to Exchange Orders.
With this type of Price Action I usually find more of my Orders getting Filled.

Thanks Steve, pleasure all mine. It may not be your cup of tea at all, but i like having a view with moving averages and channels to get a different perspective. Here's yesterday with that view.

Hi Medici,
Yes, I have looked at MAs, probally looked at everything over the years, I find they can be distracting I find it easier to just look at Price.
Feel free to drop by anytime, good to see someone who has been around here longer than myself

It reached 50% of my Target and I moved my Stop to BE+ and got taken out.

There was a possible Winning Short Trade @ 11:50 (UK) that I missed. This was the Trade of the Day.

Thank you very much for kind invitation. Yes, I started out long time ago in fx, and I find gold appealing as it behaves like fx in many ways, in particular that one can trade it off levels like you do.That's harder with equity indices, which i also trade.For gold I also like the 2 minute chart. Below the same time period as you covered in your most recent chart.
