I just wonder why buyers a fighting too hard here,.
Why not let sellers take this market to a premium price/zone for them to buy from?
With all the momentum they can muster,. Why waste the pressure now? This should be a no brainer

Geopolitical Flares: With the ongoing tensions between the US and Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, buyers are terrified of missing the next "gap up." If a major escalation happens overnight, waiting for a "premium zone" could mean missing a $200 move.

Inflation Hedging: Energy prices have spiked due to these conflicts. Buyers are front-running the inflation data, effectively "fighting" to grab gold now because they expect the dollar's purchasing power to drop faster than the gold price can correct.

In a normal market, your "no-brainer" strategy works: Let it fly, then short the exhaustion. But when the world feels like it's on fire (geopolitically and economically), "exhaustion" doesn't happen at technical levels it only happens when the news chills out.

Right now, the buyers are fighting because they believe the "premium" you're waiting for is actually $5,000+, and they don't want to be left at the station when the train leaves.

Technically, XAUUSD is caught in a very tight range around $4,700.

Support ($4,645 - $4,680): This is where central banks (specifically Poland and China) have been active accumulators in 2026. Their "buy-and-hold" mandate creates a floor that prevents the natural "selling pressure" you’re looking for.

Resistance ($4,715 - $4,800): This is the "premium" zone you're referring to. Sellers are defending $4,715 (the 100-period moving average) aggressively, hoping the "higher-for-longer" rate narrative finally breaks the buyers' backs.

US Inflation

- Bearish (Rates) - Higher CPI usually kills Gold, but energy costs are keeping buyers interested.
Trump-Xi Meeting -

Neutral/Wait - The market is paralyzed. A "deal" crashes gold; a "spat" sends it to $5,000.
Central Banks

Bullish - Poland/Uzbekistan are buying the dips, preventing sellers from taking control.
Middle East Truce

Uncertain - The current truce is seen as "conditional." Any breach results in instant buying.

market is currently pricing in event risk rather than price value. Traders are treating $4,700 like a lifeboat; you don't wait for a "better deal" on a lifeboat when you think the ship is actively sinking.

Gold most likely will get to 6k maybe 7k,. So if one catches it at 5k isn't that bad is it?
