That is subjective, because you are counting from the mean, but if is from one pivot the story is diferent.
Not to talk that the mean will always be dinamic in a trend market and only a close above or below the mean of the mean can give high probability to achieve the dinamic mean...
Deviations by the mean is one thing from a pivot another...

Let's be consistent with what we say and less clandestine without adding anything.
For this week I really have no clue as swing trading. Daily is asking bearish weekly rejection is a trap high... It's easy to come here and give opinions without actually teaching any new fundamentals besides copy/paste, and that is the reason they will always fight.
And most likely will stay by this all week, like others say, don't want spam too much, it bothers many egos to have the guts to show their face, being right or wrong, before the price even moves.
After it happens, it's quite easy even for a beginner... But they are in good hands, with azhantahir and SibiSh.
Shit out fish fillets, not all but some in that they are good...
And i said it once, i don't talk more because some people don't deserve to know all, they are lazy to do any kind of homework in a chart.
Trading is not teachable, only any short of fundamentals are...
If people don't spend hours and hours in front of a chart, sorry, they can have an edge for a while, but don't understand how it work...

You said something that reminded me of my beginning in forex, thousands keep looking for setups and profitable methods, while they don't understand that if they don't develop their own method of interpreting the market, they will never be profitable, they will only remain hostage to other people's analysis. My tip for this week is to wait for some type of liquidity sweep and you will know the real direction.

My plan for Monday, if it open below last weekend close, i will go long strategy until it hit 4800. If it open above last weekend close, i will re consider my strategy.

Honestly this thread is exactly what gold needs. I've been trading XAU for a while now and the noise around it online is brutal. Everyone screaming about news, recoils, "to the moon" stuff. None of it helps you actually read the chart.
The thing that finally clicked for me was watching what happens right before the clean moves. Almost every time, price sweeps just above or below the prior session's extreme first, takes out the obvious stops, then reverses into the real move. I used to get caught on the wrong side of that constantly. Now I wait for it.
Changed everything for me on gold. Stopped feeling like the market was personally hunting me, started feeling like I knew where the trap was set.
Here's what I'm watching for tomorrow. Looking for price to push up to 4645.17 first, take out the 50% marking of the wick, then reverse down to grab the 3 liquidity pools sitting underneath. Classic sweep then reverse setup. If we don't get the push to 4645 first I'm staying out, the move down is only interesting after the upside liquidity is taken.
Not advice, just what I'm watching. Curious what others are seeing on their charts.

Good evening, moving forward after APRIL ends, we can assume that the market is uncertain.

Key takeaways:
- Selling pressure already fading for GOLD. Low monthly volume delta and price action wise April is neutral / ranging.

New information this may:
- OPEC to increase oil production
- US-IRAN ceasefire might not hold for too long.
- UK forces attacks Russias oil infrastructure dealing significant damage.
- Russia's oil revenue increases as world tries to find new supply route for oil. (Proof that strait is still not openly accessible)

Thesis:
- Netural to slight bullish for gold as we're seing uncertainties on the market.
- We might see huge spikes on both sides
- Will be watching for any major dips.

PS: Just sharing my opinion/self-analysis.

Slowly accumulating for another run up to 5500
When oil unwinds, XAU will spike

Timeframe for this is uncertain

Watching for a pullback from overpriced equities and oil
Funds will rotate fast

Might not be this week, maybe choppy this week, today & tomorrow, quick scalps only, aside from swing positions. Expecting some spikes, traps & pullbacks

imo, it's hard to say.., Hong Kong was off on 1st May.., as well as Frankfurt.., and back tomorrow
so, Frankfurt Open-Hong Kong Close, pre NYO and NY/Frankfurt can bring something

Based close...at middle of last week range ....and i dont see market move in one direction...aka fractals( stairs formation).

even in M5.....acumulation then manipulation before FVG

Based weekly....monday tuesday....acumulation expansion range, wed distribution, thursday reversal....friday expansion again ( commonly)

Will see if strong breakout happen tho....or wait open
