yeah , i know , i was in okay lot sizing for the initial trade but since it went out i added a few trades at levels i had previously scoped out to get out on a pull back since price was still within my analysis at that point but i was too focused on the technicals and only saw the news after that ... and with that kind of volatility even a few 0.01s add up pretty quickly....

i know sl is important but i m used to micro managing my scalps so i dont use when scalping , just on intradays...

mahh, anyways , whats done is done, time to fix my mood , save up a bit and try again......
and on no.1 on the do list , is to sleep well and go to work tommorow morning....

Such gigantic moves in both directions so rapidly. It's for the best to just lock your account so you don't do anything you will regret later.

IMO: I've been there and the hard reality is you were just being greedy and didn't want to face the fact that the market probably wasn't going to reverse in your favour, let the trade run on an overleveraged position and now you're $900 out. You really need to avoid high risk mistakes like this if you want to become consistent.

You need smaller positions on a 1300 account. You should do 0.01 for every 1k. If you have experience and know what you are doing, you can go with 0.01 every 200 usd in your account. And don't worry, bad days are normal in trading. It's important to learn someting from your actions today.

No I strongly disagree. You can't "hope" your way into profitability. The market doesn't care how many times you've lost in a row, how much you've sunk into it, whether or not you can afford to keep losing. Risk what you can afford and learn sensibly and you won't end up online writing heart felt posts about it. I know it's harsh but the market is harsh.

I get what you’re saying. I’m not talking about hoping into profitability. I’m talking about the psychological loop that makes traders hold losing positions. Different angle, that’s all.

Understand Trump and you understand probabilities and not chance will take us there.
