I trade currencies relevant to the trading session im trading. So during asia, JPY pairs, NZD, AUD. during London Eur, GBP etc. Highest volume preiod is NY london overlap, if it suits your time zone. I like BTC and gold because its generally high volume across most time frames, BTC less so recently. But you need to be sure the broker feed you are using for Nova is a good reperesentation of volume for the pairs you are trading. Check the early posts on the thread.
When i say BE its ideally at a point where I can lock in some profit but at minimum its BE. Yes sometimes its taken out, but at that point Ive usually made my money so I leave the trade open in case of a bonus. Sometimes its good sometimes its just ok. I dont pretend to get every trade right not by any means,but bad entries are usually proven wrong very quickly and closed manually. Nova signal on its own is not a gurantee of success. I have traded many different styles/strats over the years, in recent times (18 months) ive preferred short term trades intraday. I still enjoy exploring what others do, but Nova is always on my screen and ive learned it doesnt nee to be over complicated.
Make sure you read the posts here from OP and others who have plenty to offer and trade differently to me.

i can build for us a simple alarm or strategy to trigger all those condition. If tou have time just write the logic and i’ll get this done. For the moment I made a tradingview strategy that will trigger once emas are stacked and in an angle and the price breaks ema 100 ema150 or as well ema 200 and then if it pulls back to over ema100 to trigger the let’s say buy conditiin or alarm . I only done this cause i’m not sure what nova is using or what formula it has for deciding volume is back in the market.

I have produced the EMA indicator with the alerts as per my post. Im just working through which are actually useful and trying to corelate time frame behaviour and Nova signals so that I can get m15 ema behaviour corelating with m1 behaviour (or m2) and nova entry signal..... Or more likely M15 ema alert trigger when m1 is getting close. looking for a balance of early enough alerts but not many false alerts. May or may not end up being useful.....but its work for a riany day We should compare notes down the track

Hi Sam,
Don’t forget market structure. The old Higher Highs/Higher Lows & Lower Highs Lower Lows. EMA’s and Nova are great supporting indicators but market structure is the roadmap with Nova being great for confirmation. The EMA flips as xkwisit describes them are good for spotting a fake out/trend reversal/reset. Always keep an eye on the bigger picture unless you are very short term return to mean scalping.

So BTC m15 nova giving a signal. ema's about to flip, but an H1 liquidity /FVG above so wait. looking left higher volume (shaded area of nova) has been to the upside , now downside, so caution.

so getting closer if the gap gets touched and then we get a new signal on m2 thats my favourite entry.

Gap closed on M15. so next short signal on M2/1 nova i would take. slow going because of low volume but hopefully this helps some.
edit....only if price remains below ema's

That's nice, but 99% of people probably wouldn't hold it for that long. They'd rather break it down into individual signals that would still give a nice evaluation.


Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed Easter and weren't just on the chart.

Not true

Some people take this on the M5 and get 2:1.

But you're right... M1 gang will find it hard to hold if they are used to scalping.

Once you move from a higher tf to a lower one for the micro entry then you can hold

I came from H4/H1 to M1 and made the most money I ever did just by optimising the entry.

Today was first day back on the charts though xD

Well, for example, I personally still don't know whether to trade on M1 or M5, because it seems to me that I only have 2-5 gold trades per day on M5 (I only trade in Asia and London shortly before the NY open) and I have much more stop losses on M1. For example, today I ended up at -0.5%, because I opened positions on M1 and only three on M5, one was profitable, the second was losing and the third I had to close on BE, so I need to figure out why the minute timeframe is giving me problems and M5 is much better. (But it's still a small sample of trades)

Yeah but... It's a bank holiday so you shouldn't take any trades really.

If you use a higher timeframe then have a target that is further. M5 is fine to use but I use M1 personally.
