But I can see a big up/down down without sufficient pullbacks would be problematic. So, the second table in my post i would be left with nice profit from the buys but a whole load of out-the-money sells

So, I need to get a better feel for the thread first as I'm guessing this is where you're skills come in. This is NOT some set and forget system.
If price is likely to expand in Asia then do the opposite in London/US then I can see how this will work very well.

i have walked a similar path before . The strategy has merit . Some questions to clear up some potential issues : (1) you trade HK open at 8am ( 00:00 UK time ) , The Asia session has progressed 2 hrs in so how to determine your probable support and resistance ? (2) at 5120 opened a hedge : buy and sell at same price . the sell does well but it's offset by the buy - which is in red . So why hedge here ? (3) going forward , possible to know your game plan in advance ?

we don’t hedge now, only Asian session. Yes in other cases if it’s at super or resistance you wouldn’t hedge, just one side, that’s why understanding the time and price its important

I’m sure Bdsilvano can answer better but I’ll give my opinion, 1) you can use any method finding support and resistance is key in trading anyway not strict to hedging, secondly you can use volume profile. 2) the goal is to hedge in between support and resistance, generally near the POC of the days profile, and expect to close the profiting ones by end of London and wait for the reversal to cover the rest in drawdown.

Sorry Brother, I just woke up. About your question here is my answer below.

1) yes I do start hedging at asian session. after 4 Hours open Asia. I make sure I am fully hedge.
2) Today When I see 5120 at New York Session, I remove all my BUYS positive, and place 1 order Sell at 5120 for me to compensate the rest of my drawdown Sell.
3) I didint hedge at 5120 but I only traded 1 sided as this is New York Session already,

We hedge only in Asia, on New York we do 1 Side Trade for me to clear my Books.

for me, Id rather go on Sell side on Gold as I am very aware how strong the dollar is. yes I can go 5050, but I didint take it so I went at 5120. hope this is clear.
