No surprises here, he's just trying to change the narrative/focus.

Markets really adjusted rate cut expectations in the past week. Now only 1 cut for 2026 and 1 cut for 2027. That's a big shift from where it was. /zqz26 has dropped by 0.44 (44 basis points of cuts taken off the table for December...nearly 2 cuts gone) since 3/2.

That's wild considering that equals the entire range from the contract's inception (back in June 2025) through March 2026.

The world doesn't expect rates to come down any time soon due to perceived inflationary pressures from the strait being closed. If the strait were to open, and oil flow safely, regarless of whether the war were "over", those odds would increase.

Then in 23 and 24 a dem congress would control him. Huge herds of people couldn't think one move ahead so here we are.
