I feel you, i have had a similar day. I am just glad Gold is back lower. There will be plenty of trades to come for the way back up when everything settles

last time while going up it left a sign for 5137 reversal and today it has done so i sold powerfully after i see price action is selling till 5137 but then i posted here because now its up to price it has a level at 5055 also... But many times it fills till second last sign and left the previous one and up again then again it returns anyday...
This is golds style make you sure that you have forgotton those levels when you were trading price action and then slowly slowly it reaches that target and realized oh yes this was the points where i got trapped on that day or lost few dollars...

You need to take a look at weekly high for you to understand the potential profit 2026 holds for buyers. All you need is to remain afloat till lines fall in pleasant places for you.

how's trading going for you guys since the Iran war? Is it just me, or is the market extremely hard? not sure if it's my psychology or price action

same, since iran war, i am in 9 loosing streak now, even last year only get 4 loosing streak.

Yep, I'm losing more often now. still alive, but from about 70% win rate, I'm down to about 45%.

I know the potential but this is also why I am glad for lower entries.

Plus I don't hold trades. I make my pips, take my profits and look for the next when a good opportunity presents itself. Just what works best for me. Holding long term trades messes with me trading psychology so I just don't do it.

Plus for now I am on a prop firm and they don't allow holding over weekends so I just focus on shorter term trades

It is not you, it is for sure harder. I have reduced lot sizes and even trade frequency while I am struggling with it

Yeah I thought I was doing something wrong. I'm on a slow dip (PnL) since last week.
Yesterday was horrible. I was trapped so many times. I think I'll start moving to the higher time frames and size all the way down to 1 micro until the good market conditions returns
EDIT : I don't remember the last time I had 3 red days in a week. every trade reverse on me lol

I had a rough couple days last week and decided it was best to take less trades and just take it steady. If we can make it work during these times, when things settle it will all feel so much better.

Sometimes the right move is simply not to take the trade

Right, what sucks is that it takes me at least a few days before I realize market conditions have changed. Now it's a good time to practice good habits and keep your position tiny

Today for the first time in my life my stop loss was hit 14 times. Even the trades were going into profit, but they didnt give a proper move. This is because I always try to catch at least 500-700 pips in one move but these days gold is moving up and down again and again. Thats why I took so many trades today for the first time because there was no clear or strong movement in the market.
